10 second to live
OK, your in what ever room you're in now, reading this when a runner bursts in the door. you have 10 seconds to grab something to defend yourself (it has to be something in the room your in now), what would you use?
me, I'm at my parents house in my old room(i have no z gear here). i would pick up a towel and wrap it around the bastards head(that's the dangerous end, right?). so now hes blind and cant bite plus, i just bought my self some time to get away.
now, where are you, and what would you do?

I'm currently in the living room, which is the room containing both doors to the outside. Conveniently, this is NOT the room I have my weapons stashed in. Luckily, my brother's baseball bat is within diving range. I'd grab that and go for a home run.

Well If this happened in my bedroom all I would do is reach under my bed for my 12 gauge, or right by my desk for a baseball bat.

I am sitting at my desk which is located in my kitchen. I grab my grandmothers cast iron frying pan ( it is literally hanging on the wall right here...6 inches from my head) and start swinging. My intent is to make it to the other side of the room where my knives hang on the magnetic bar over my prep table. I just bought a meat processing knife the size if a small machete. If I can get to it...that zed is done for....
Do you expect any less from newly retired chef?

i'm at work. i guess i'll pull my sidearm out of my office desk....or my baton... or i can just pepper spray the shit outta it... i wonder what mace would do to a zombie... since mace operates alot on effecting the bodies natural reactions... how much of that would carry over?

oh i work in a prison most of the time we use wats called a fogger it sprays out the OC in a mist that covers like from the shoulders up and if uve ever been hit with OC u should no it blinds no matter what kind it has small i guess chili particles in it that get caught in ur eyes like dust would and induces involintary closing of the eyes but i dont think it would particularly do anything to a zombie because it is based off the pain it causes and although it would seem like the foam which is probably what u have would cover the eyes so even without the pain you would be blind but it is easily whiped off and if ur not affected by the pain then it really wouldnt work (we had to go through OC certification in training and we got sprayed with the fogger)

wow... the mother of all run on sentences. haha.
our prison doesn't use the foggers. too many incidents of the jailers macing themselves. so, they stick with the green goo streams. also gives more distance.
and i understand about the certifications. when i was being certified for tactical entry, i had to be tazered, tear gased, maced (with 2 different types) and slapped in the thigh with my own baton.
out of all the options, i'd rather be batoned, then tazered, then maced. but this is the exact opposite order that we're required to escalate to. haha

Lol I wish I was in the kitchen right now.
I'm in my room, and given how my house is, I could easily hear the bastard running up the stairs. I could bash him in the head with the drawer of my desk, or with one of my books and then stab him through the eyes with my little American flag.
