There is alot of buzzing about 2012 could this be the date of the "Zombie Apocalypse" ? Could the events of what happens to the earth lead to the dead walking among us, devouring us, placeing them at the top of the food chain. there are many diffrent points of view on how and in what way the earth will meet its doom on this date. I have heard that the planets will align in such a way that earth will be exposed to high levels of (RADS) from the sun causing the core of the earth to expand witch in turn will cause the earths outer plates to shift. I also heard that an object will pass so close and fast to our mother earth that the effects would be well lets say not good. But what if 2012 is the year of the Zombie? What are your thoughts???
id rather it be the year of the zombie then any global destruction atleast we will have a chance with the zombies and we have seen so many movies and thought about what we would do so many times im sure we could all make it no problem
Well, I hear there will be the apocalypse. My cousin and I were discussing this topic. I heard someone say that it won't be the zombie apocalypse, but like, how can I say this without getting into a religious discussion:
It'll be the demon/Antichrist/final judgment/whatever
I hope...it'll be the zombies. But better yet, none.

So if it is the apocalypse, which I highly doubt 2012 is real, because we said the world would end in 1999, 2006, and nothing happened. But strange coincidence if something did occur...
OOPS! I must have said religion so here comes one out from under the rock. well you seem to be so sure that the christian religion does not mention the walikng dead? I am not a religious man by any standard and by your responce you are a christian right? well I myself am a free thinker and do not believe in any religion but it appears that I may know more than you about your own religion. Now how can that be? try looking in Zachariah 14:12 I quote "Their people will become like walking corpses, Ther flesh rotting away. Their eyes will shrivel in their sockets and their toungues will decay in their mouths. On that day they will be terrified, stricken by the lord with great panic, they will fight against each other in hand to hand combat". how certain are you in your faith now that you have been schooled about your own religion by a non-believer?

12This is the plague with which the Lord will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. 13 On that day men will be stricken by the Lord with great panic. Each man will seize the hand of another, and they will attack each other. 14 Judah too will fight at Jerusalem. The wealth of all the surrounding nations will be collected—great quantities of gold and silver and clothing. 15 A similar plague will strike the horses and mules, the camels and donkeys, and all the animals in those camps.
Essentially, you just need to make sure you don't attack Jerusalem...But it's all in the interpretation. As I read it, Those who face off against Jerusalem will be struck dead where they stand. All those left will fight until there is a winner. Which will be Jerusalem...apparently they have god on their side...
Right! but as for (Dario) this passage sure sounds like the walking dead to me. and i know it's not related to 2012 but his christian religion does mention the walking dead....
Luis,
Sorry if I sounded aggressive, that was certainly not my intention.
Anyway, I am already familiar with that verse, but it doesn't really convince me of an impending zombie apocalypse. The key to understanding any Bible verse is context. Most interpretations will say that Zechariah 14 is speaking about an apocalyptic setting, but generally at the very end when the forces of evil surround Jerusalem to try to capture the city (which is also in Revelations).
But it seems to me that it more points towards the soldiers of this army ending up turning on one another - not some kind of zombie plague that will infest the earth (the world will have been thoroughly destroyed by that point, with only 25% of the population remaining alive, according to Christian eschatology).
You might, however, be interested in what one particular Christian church has stated about the End Times. Have you heard of the Bible Code? According to this pastor, he says it's the real deal. In his studying of it, he found the words "swine flu" crossing with "become as rabies." You can only let your imagination run wild on what that means ;). I think you might like it, so I'll give you the link: http://www.satansrapture.com/swineflu.htm
I found it exceptionally interesting. However, most Christian scholars do not accept the Bible Code as an indicator of prophesy, and therefore, disregard it. This "Pastor Harry," is certainly not mainstream, though he is a Christian (I think, I haven't been able to ascertain much). Whether he's right or not I suppose will remain to be seen.
Now I would personally LOVE to believe that the End Times has zombies as a biblical plague as punishment. But I haven't been able to find any kind of theologian or anyone via Google that has put that into consideration. I can't just assume it by surfing zombie-friendly sites. And I can't believe something just because I want it to happen. The Bible does talk about plagues sweeping the earth in the end times, and I suppose one could be a violent rabies mutation or something. After all, there are armies of horsemen that will kill a 1/3 of the population, so why not a "rage virus" style pandemic?
"When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!" 8I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth." (Revelation 6:7-8)
I'd like to believe that there is a prediction of some sort of zombie/rage-infected plague envisioned in the Bible - but nothing suggests it. If you can prove me wrong, please, go ahead, and I'll be satisfied - but nothing until now...
Actually, I must say this. After studying these verses and several possible apocalypse scenarios, it seems more likely that it's detailing a nuclear holocaust with small groups of those who survived.
actually scientists have recently proved that if there was a real zombie apocalypse, that humans would have a small chance of survival. however, i do agree that we would still be able to fight for life, as apposed to if it was an asteroid or whatever.
