2012 Will This Be The Date Of The Zombie Apocalypse?

There is alot of buzzing about 2012 could this be the date of the "Zombie Apocalypse" ? Could the events of what happens to the earth lead to the dead walking among us, devouring us, placeing them at the top of the food chain. there are many diffrent points of view on how and in what way the earth will meet its doom on this date. I have heard that the planets will align in such a way that earth will be exposed to high levels of (RADS) from the sun causing the core of the earth to expand witch in turn will cause the earths outer plates to shift. I also heard that an object will pass so close and fast to our mother earth that the effects would be well lets say not good. But what if 2012 is the year of the Zombie? What are your thoughts???

Really? do you believe that 6 billion people are just going to lay down and die? Even if the Zpoc killed 90% of the human population, that's still 600 million survivors. I think we can make a go at saving the human race....

I think that the year that isn't supposed to be the year of the apocalypse will be the year of the apocalypse.

BTW, zombie apocalypse = BEST APOCALYPSE EVER!!! (as far as apocalypses go) Think about it. It's a lot easier to fight zombies than, say, earthquakes, meteors, floods, other cataclysmic diseases or radiation.

I meant best apocalypse ever in terms of chances for survival (better apocalypse = greater chance for survival). I probably should have been clearer, but I was probably tired at the time. Other than that, we're on the same page.

If there is one thing i learned about this site don't use the words "technically a zombie" or "technically not a zombie" that leaves too much grey area for some. what's your deffinition of "Zombie" ? are you one of those who thinks that the infected people in the "28 days/weeks" are "Zombies" or are you more a traditional type like myself and lean more to the (Romero and Fulci) type "zombie" ?

Well, regarding Jesus and Lazarus, they don't even fit the oh-so-hazy dictionary definition of "zombies," which refers to a person or corpse walking "without the semblance of control."

Jesus was a man who died, and rose from the dead in a glorified body, all body functions normal, cognisant, - a living, breathing, normal person. The same was with Lazarus.

They can't be considered zombies, though Buscetti's joke was funny.

Personally, when I think zombie, I think of the Romero version - corpse that rose from the dead. I usually don't refer to the 28 "x" creatures as "zombies," but "infected." But I accept it either way.

Umm, for the record, you brought up religion, not me.

You can't bring it up and then be pissed when the argument doesn't go your way.

Besides, no one was getting all religious or anything, it was merely a description of Christian theology for accuracy's sake. I don't think 2012 will have any special significance once it comes up. No reason to believe it.

Anyway, I do like Romero zombies. But I love the infected scenarios because they are the most realistic and plausible.

The dead will not rise and start feeding off people (aww!), but we might get a situation where some killer virus is released that turns people into aggressive animals. :)
