in a world overrun by the walking dead, and the population of the living dwindling, any reasonable survivor must agree that the likeliness of killing off each and every one of the infected is nearly impossible.this is where my proposition comes in-i have been studying the work of a russian scientist by the name of Ivan Pavlov, perhaps you've heard of him?He is most noted for his work of the nervous system and its response to stimuli.he had trained dogs to respond to certian stimuli, such as a bell.when they heard the bell, they knew food was coming,so their mouths would being to water. i believe the same principal can be applied to the 'undead'. though they are essentially dead, they still respond to basic stimuli as you and i [and even Pavlov's Dogs. . .] would...if we can train them, domesticate them, to ignor that stimuli that causes them to attack, with the purpose to feed, [seeing as they have no real need for sustenence. . .] we can therefore eliminate the threat that they cause, thus making it considerably easier to dispose of them safely.

well, its nearly 2 in the A.M. here for me,so i shall check back tomorrow for any replies.sorry if i missed you ^^v
night.hope you're all still among the living after this sleep cycle =D

yours truly,britt nephilim.
Not all animals can domesticated. Sharks are pure killing machines, kinda like your run of the mill zombie. I would count zombies as being much closer to sharks than I would a dog.
true...but they still may contain some of their humanity. . .i find it hard to believe that they loose everything other than impulse directly after death. . .and i realize that they are rather ravenous, such as sharks...but part of me still believes that it would be worth a shot to at least look into it. . .im aiming more towards 'behavioral modification' moreso than 'domestication'.even those that are among the living can react to impulse.they can revert back to primal instinct, such as in a 'spur of the moment' killing that seems to have no motive whatsoever.saying this,i realize it would be impossible to completely change their ways.as humans cannot always be swayed to change their habits and ways, why would an essentially dead person be any different?
It MAY be possible to show them that it is faster and easier to get food by doing things one way as opposed to another. Problem is the food they eat.
well as i mentioned in an earlier post, when someone brought up the ridiculous idea that i would actually sacrifice my own kind for this experiment [-.-] i stated that the undead are essentially wild animals.most animals, when hungry, will settle for just about anything.if we were to get one [or perhaps two...] in a controlled environment without 'food' for a while,im pretty sure they wouldnt be able to tell the difference between somone's femur and a slab of beef...im just saying -shrugs- though i've heard that burning flesh smells very similar to pork,[i guess from the natural fat???] so perhaps a small hog farm wouldnt be too bad of an idea for my little project lol
NO! Burning human flesh smells unlike any other thing on earth.
lol well,im just going by what ive been told haha but anyways,i think the piggies wouldnt be a bad idea to try...they are often used in classrooms for biology, for their organ systems are very similar to that of humans. Also, pig blood is sometimes used in place of human blood,i do believe i've seen in a vampire movie once [lol just saying] i think its worth a shot. [???]
Hey, like I said I'm willing to give anything a shot. Of course monkeys and apes share a close genetics so they may be an option as well.
yeah perhaps...but i deff think the lil piggies would be the easiest to breed and farm...last i checked, monkeys arent too abundant in my part of the country^^;;; lol
True but we need to find out what food source has the best and most consistent results. Kinda like twinkies and steak.
I'd say it comnpletely depends on what sort of zombie you're talking about. More often than not, in popular fiction the zombie is nothing more than mannequin being controlled by a parasite. On the other hand, if it's a 're-animating" virus, it would depend on exactly how much of the brain and body it jump-starts.
haha yes we shall feed them twinkies >=] FEAR MY SNACK CAKES OF DOOM! xD amazing
