state your favourite weapons
hey zombiekillah here, starting a thread for favourite weapons because i need some new ideaas for protection and i know you all must have some great ideas, anything from guns, knives, bats ect. state what your favourite weapon is please!!
AS for my fave weapons have to be my small crowbar and hand axe. very powerful weapons, i also have shotgun but don't know if its too loud when shot.

and when you miss you spend three seconds getting back on balance because it's so damn heavy.
And carrying it around is just so much fun too.
It doesn't hamper your ability to run or hide at ALL.
Of course not, because it can smash a head, and that can easily dispatch three thousand zombies that you can't get away from without dropping your sledgehammer.

I'm all for the crowbar. Handguns are good, but silenced is best and you have to be very good with it, anything that's not a head shot won't do. It's not like in the movies were you can pick one up and start hitting zombies in the head with regularity in a few hours. My all-time favorite weapon, though, is a semi-auto rifle with a good scope. High accuracy, no rapid fire function, which might sound bad, but thinking about ammo conservation while in a panicked state and you should understand why I don't like rapid fire capacity, and it can be used at long ranges and for scouting. Also, in desperate times with no ammo, it can be used in hand-to-hand combat, just don't count on firing it ever again if you do.

On the other hand in close quarters i'd better use shirasaya nihontou, since it lacks tsuba and most other metallic parts of a normal nihontou, although it still has blade guard. Also shirasaya nihontou's saya is shaped more like a bokken, unlike an oval shape of a normal nihontou's saya, so it can be used as an off hand bashing weapon.

Id have to say my weapon of choice is my trusty .357, as a revolver its reliable, easy to maintain and you dont worry about it jamming, in an ammo pinch it can also fire my .38s its treated me very well in all the years ive had it.
