Water as a defense.
Will zombies cross rivers, moats, lakes, etc. to get at us tasty living folk? Would they enter the water? If so, at what point would they stop trying to get at survivors?

Once the Z's sink deep enough into the water and they can no longer see the survivors, what would motavate them to attempt to get at the living? Out of sight, out of mind.

If that were true, they wouldn't continue to try and force their way into human strongholds. If they can't see or hear people inside why continue to try and break in? They are more determined than that. However, their ability to be able to climb out of a body of water with steep enough banks is questionable.

I agree with what you say, but in Night of the Living Dead the sheriff coments on Z's trying to beak into an abondoned shed. In Land of the Dead the Z's are standing on the shoreline of the river looking out over the water towards the city, but yet they don't cross. Do the Z's have some vague fear of water?

I think if one goes in the water more will follow, but regardless of what is in front of them it is just an instinct to get from point A to point B to fufill thier urge for food. I also think water could be used as a weapon. High pressure jet to tear a zombie apart. Set this up near a source of water, you have a weapon that will last a long time.

yes a zombie would enter water. even though they have no sense of direction they will still search for food. so if you are thinking about taking to the water when hell breaks loose dont drop anchor and if you are gonna do any fishing think twice.

what if you had an extreamly steep banked area like a 90 degree incline with about 5 ft be tween you and the zombie cause i know an island that can support 20 people with the exact same qualitys
