So we all love to sit around and talk about where we go for the next zombie outbreak:
`Lets go to Costco.`
`Lets go to Big 5 they have guns there!`
But stop and think for a minute. In the event of an emergency where people are being evacuated or under attack, EVERYONE is going to need supplies and weapons. This means that places like Walmart or Costco or even Liqour stores are going to be cleaned out.
Also, where would you hold up assuming you do have supplies? The High School? The police station? A store? Ohs ure, nobody else will think of that.
How about getting to a location? Streets? Freeways? Its not like there will be any traffic will there? And its not like the military wont be blocking roads or enforcing Marshal Law.
In the situation of infection, you will soon learn that the zombies will be the least of your troubles.
So What do you do?
Where do you get supplies?
Where are you gonna go?
How are you gonna get there?
Think about all the factors (besides zombies) that will hinder it.

thats why we are here.
To spread the word and get ppl ready.
Yeah but a lot of people will use outbreak to do bad things since there won't really be any consequences to there actions that's why want the least amount of people around me when all this goes down.
very true. Looting, murder.
People in a panic is quite a frightening thing...
People turn into monsters under enough stress.
Zeds are the least of our worries.
What concerns me most, is what the organized but desperate will become, or even just the organized and fascist. I always think of the motorcycle gang in "Dawn of the Dead"
A quick emergency place to go is a ... cemetary! It tends to be a large fenced in area with a lot of trees, which can be used as fuel and mausoleums, which can be used as shelter.
uh... okay.
Go ahead. I dont see why not =-)
I've got a group of 4 people, all with cell phones that work almost where ever they are. We have several post-apocalyptic scenarios each with a short code (for this case "code Z") with designated meeting places. Code Z has everyone meet at my friend's house. It is secluded in the woods, 10 minutes drive from all members of the group, and it's all back roads to get there, so hopefully no traffic. Plus both me and my friend work at a sporting goods store, and have been building supplies in both ammo and dried foods. He has enough guns for every one in the group, and if we end up starting to run out of any supplies, he is real big into backpacking, so it will be easy to strap everyone up and look for salvation elsewhere. This is the scenario that we are most prepared for, but the other ones don't feel as urgent as this one.
I would bug out to the middle of PA. Low population would mean a manageable level of zeds to deal with. At home I have roughly 2K of 5.56mm and 7.62x39, 1K of .45 and 500 of 12guage OO buck. In the rural areas of PA there is plenty of wildgame to eat so that would not be an issue. Basically just hole up in a building after clearing it and use it as a base camp.
I would take off and head NE towards my favorite wilderness area. I know the land. I have a few friends who plan on joining me. Between us we have all the gear we need and I do mean all. From weapons to transport, even mobile shelter. Food and water not really an issue in this particular wilderness area if you know what your doing and trust me we do, and we still have enough food and water to last quite a while thanks to a dear friend who was super paranoid for Y2K-lol. Well thats our plan leaving out pretty much all the details, no offence but i dont want anyone taking my gear or my spot.
P.s. I have previously posted my personal packing list, minus food and weapons but if you want to check it out it'll give you a good idea where my minds at.
here it is again so you dont have to go looking for it good advise too if you are unfamilliar with these sort of things...

Delete Discussion This is a general packing list for survival. This is my personal list. It does not include food or weapons. MRE’s or survival food bars are a good idea for food past that with a little research and practice food can be obtained almost anywhere. Your climate and situation will dictate your necessities. Be familiar with your gear, you should not have anything you do not know how to use. Practice packing and unpacking. I can personally say that this gear can be carried extreme distances even with the added weight of food water and weapons. Proper conditioning is a must, both for you and your gear. DO NOT bring new shoes, you will regret it and it may even cause injury.

As I live in the UK I'm pretty lucky. I have a Castle nearby that never fell into ruin. Warwick Castle (google it)

It has a complete moat, complete huge walls and steel gate with gatehouse. It has numerous wells for water inside the walls. It has huge grassed area inside the walls for growing vegatables and keeping animals. Inside the main castle there are fully suits of armour (plate and mail) and hundreds of real medieval weapons. (remember there are no guns in the UK)

Also has a river linked ot the moat so I can fish off the battlements.

Perfect or what?!!
