first thing first dont get bit!!
it may be hard to avoid it if ur out looking for food or wepons. u cant suvive for ever on wat was in our house at the time of the outbrake
Never get yourself distracted or out of balance...and don't panic...those who will get into panic will fall...
Fighting from a distance is best.
I agree. Don't get any closer than you absolutely have to. Also, I keep dogs with me at all times. Their reactions to even the tiniest noise give me a few minutes to prepare, especially at night, nothing is worse than a sneak attack when you are sleeping.
if you get a chance, and BY chance, if you see anything on CNN about a stange new disease, check you friends and family for bites it may be the smartest thing ever, but do it so that you dont alert them to it......
don't watch CNN... try getting your news off the internet, it is harder to censor and is easier to get multiple points of view which may add up or non co-inside with eachother which may make it easier to identify a potential outbreak

second, do not engage unless absolutly nessicary, remember, zak never travels alone, you may see one standing about all by his lonesome, but there is usually at least a half dozen around the corner.

third, always have an escape route, never engauge unless you have at least two avenues of escape, never hold up in a building unless you have a clear and safe route of escape

fourth, never stay in one place more than a few days.. this will lessen your chances of being surrounding and becoming personally stagnant (this is more of a personal preference of mine)

fifth, practice, practice, practice... learn to shoot accuratly, learn how firearms, in general, work and how to maintain them... learn how to effectively melee, practice swinging high as you would when you are aiming towards the head, work on physical endurance..no you don't have to bench press 300lbs, but you should train yourself to run for distance without hurting yourself...
travel carefuly and kind of quick and always be alert and beaware of your surrondings
dose any one know anything about how they work? like if they can starve or if they will resors to cnables isum first. its a good idea to make reports and document it
i guess as zeds are made up of rotting flesh sooner or later they`re gonna be too decomposed to function. i doubt they`d starve to death though, i think the flesh eating is more like a drug for them not a necessity for survival. even disembodied heads crave flesh even though they have`nt got a stomach to process the food.

smaller groups of survivors would evade the zeds better than larger groups, there`s less people to keep quiet, less chance of being seen by zed.
try to have lookouts at night to keep an eye out while the others sleep. rotated roughly every 3-4 hours. even with someone on lookout always sleep with a weapon within reach.
