Blood circulation is pretty fast, i doubt that cutting off limb would help.
I'd say if you got it off as they were chewing on it, it might work.
I agree. But then you might die of blood loss, and besides you would have loads of undead geezers on yourself and no time to bond the wound...
It's a slim chance of survival.
But that's loads better than none.
It might have saved Andy (Dawn of the Dead Remake).
Well at some point during a LVL 3 outbreak I'm sure we will find out.
Im pretty sure if you tryed to aputate the infected limb you would be unable to stop the viris because the blood stream moves to quick and also if you did aputate wouldent you be risking infection to yourself and others due to fludial contact?
well with blood borne viruses like aids surgeons will take extra precautions when operating so if you followed the same precautions i bet there would be very little risk in amputation of an infected limb and infecting the person doing the amputation.
If the bite was only on the surface of the skin it could take up to 30 min before the infection spread to the rest of the body. So amputation could be an options.
Why not just cut the infected area out?
Talking about blood getting out of a limb, you have what 30 seconds tops, if it gets into the main bloodstream then your done. Time to either destroy your head or turn....
