Lets here em!

okay so if I get rich or win the lottery or come into a lot of money somehow I'm going to build a fucking zombie fortress...here is a picture of my design!

but the chances of me coming into enough money to build said fortress are remote soooo.....

In my house there is a shitload of watercartons and canned food up in our rafters(my Dad was one of those y2k nut cases hahaha) theres enough water and food to last a group of people a few days without heavy rationing.that would take care of the immediate issues.
a couple weeks ago I put together my first zombie emergency pack so when shit goes down I can just grab my backpack and be good to go.it's best not to pack heavy of course but basically it consists of a first aid kit with hand sanitizer, bandages, scissors, aspirin, oral jell, ice packs etc. then of course flashlight, extra batteries, swiss army knife, latrine shovel, waterproof matches and whatever else comes to mind on the spot.
the main idea is to get to a harbor(theres a shit-ton like 30 miles south of my area) and get to a house boat and possibly steal a jet ski or two to go back and forth to get supplies when needed.
I plan on buying a house boat one day but if it comes down to it...Ill steal one.
eventually we could get a community of house boats..
tah dah.
survival plan A

My plan:

Lets say the zombie outbreak occurs on the other side of the US (since I doubt zombies would be created near where I live) and we hear it all over the media that its spreading, and its like a day or two away from where I live and I know for certain it is a zombie attack, THEN I go out and buy supplies:

*Lotsa water.
*Lotsa long lasting canned foods and other goods
*3 Rifles and ammo
*2 shotgun and ammo
*.22 ammo for my .22
*heavy wire fencing for my windows
*Wood for my doors
*plastic coating to stop windows from breaking easily
*seeds, lotsa, lotsa seeds (which I plant right away and put on the roof)
*A tarp (Which a put on the roof for water)
*metal sheets (more reinforcement)
*batteries, batteries, batteries
*flashlights, first aid kits, and other stuff needed for a zombie survival pack
*Some heavy leather, tight biker jackets and heavy deniem jeans (ideal protection)
*gas, gas, gas
*some things to make my car zombie proof...for the most part.
*books and other entertainment
*a good, small, radio
*a good, heavy duty, radio thingy where you can talk to truckers and stuff
*A chain ladder and a normal ladder
*a sledge hammer (to destroy my stairs)
*3 hatchets, 2 crowbars, my dad's knife collection (mainly the big knifes), and maybe some bats
*3 fire extinguisher
*flares
*nets (To close off some areas off my home, like the doorway to upstairs (even though the stairs would be destroyed)
*extra tire
*candles and matches
*black curtains that make it impossible to see in
*if its in the budget somehow, a REALLY, REALLY cheap boat, like for $500- that hopefully has room to fit like 6 people or more.
*bullet proof vests and helmets (incase of a riot)
*ear plugs
*cheap motion sensors (even the cheap brand made for kids' rooms so thier siblings don't sneak in, or whatever)
*Maybe a small, cheap, TV
*cleaning supplies
*silencers (which I doubt the store has)
*bucket(s) (for pooping)
*that hunting spray that hides your smell
*I would cut my rug up and use it ass pads on my shoes so I walk quietly

and other stuff I may need

then I just board up my house, make the car zombie proof, and all the things I need to do to get ready for a zombie attack. Then I go upstairs with my family, turn on the radio or TV and wait. When the zombies attack, there is no way zombies would be able to get to us since, 1, it would be hard to get in, 2, if they DO get in, the stairs area is roped off by nets, 3, if they DO get past the nets, then there are no stairs, 4, if they magicly float upstairs, then we go to the atic and destory those stairs. Well, after a week or two, if we are still doing good (hopefully, since we will ration the food to 2 cans and a gallon of water a daynplus we will fill the tub with water, so we will have plenty of water), no zombies got upstairs, the house wasn't destroyed by rioters, and we weren't looted (all looters will be shot. surviver will be zombie bait, seriously, we duck tape thier mouth, tie them up, and hang them across the street on a telephone poll, or we just shoot them) then we just stay until we start doing bad. We will use our trucker caller thing to see if anyone has a safe house or if anyone is on the road and needs extra survivors. If no one is there, then we go live on our boat (hopefully we can get to where ever our boat is docked). If we didn't have enough money to buy the boat, then we drive to the closest prison (hopefully its not overrun with zombies or by the inmates) remembering to ditch our car a mile or two back and ride our bikes the rest of the way. If the prison is overrun, then we go looting and try and find a boat (that we can hotwire) and take.

Then that should be 3-5 weeks into the zombie outbreak (if the prison idea didn't work). If the goverment doesn't clear things up by then, then we just stay at sea and wait for helicopters or something on the radio. If nothing comes, then we just live on our boat. We will find surivors.
The same survivors you hung from a telephone pole for zombie bait? Dude, Im not even sure which way to go with that....
No, they are bloodthirst looters that wanted to take all my food and weapons, so I shot him the both legs and hung him just enough from a telephone pole so that zombie don't get him.
Brigands will have to be punished after all.
That is their punishment. Being scared half to death because they are being hung on a telephone wire just enough above so the zombie don't get him. then we shoot the zombies trying to bite him, and after we do that for an hour or two, then we let him go. Call me... the Punisher.
If you are one of the lucky ones that gain knowledge of the zombie takeover before the masses, you may make it to the distant harbor. Remember, 30 miles is a vast distance to travel if the takeover is already widespread. I theorize that after approximately 12 days, the masses will panic, meaning they will loot and kill to protect themselves and or their families.

That said, all roads will most likely be clogged with manic Americans trying to escape the immediate area. You may have to take an alternate route, i.e. a path through a wooded area. Thirty miles is now a long distance to travel!
Flamethrowers. Lots of those. And in Germany they have those rollwodn metal things for windows and doors? http://storefront.dexonline.com/nevada-rolling-shutter < an example. So I would get those but reinforce them.
Med kits for sure. Really like the fire aspect though. Crispy kids.
