I just want to hear you guys and your ideas on how to take a zombie down without a weapon (unless those weapons happen to be your hands) what would you do, against say maybe, one or two, possibly three, and you cant run away..... How would you dispatch these highly infectious freaks? all ideas welcome, and please no agression towards other posts i dont mind arguments just dont talk shit ok?

Kicks to keep 'em off yourself. Provided you have formidable force you might even try to rip the rotten heads off.
study a martial art which is about manupulating the body, not strikes.

iv done aikido and judo for years and years, the techniques will still work against a deadhead

when they out on the floor then you disptach them
Agree...when they are down you can stomp on their heads(that would be fun :D).
Good choice. I practice aikido myself, and many of the techniques would be effective. Unfortunately, however, most of the joint locks would not work as throws, as they cannot feel pain. But the dynamic movements could definitely be put to use.
Its alot harder than you Think. How are you planning on dispatching them? Its going to be hard to crush thier ehad with a simple stomp.
Difficult but perhaps not impossible?
have you ever crushed a head with your boot? not as hard as one would think, but really wierd noise. not a human, but a coyote(it attacked me first)
i had a few years in mu-yae-do... its a combination of kick boxing and karate.... 3rd degree blackbelt (ten degrees total) i quit just a few years ago cuz i got bored.... but that shit works for me!!! just open palm them in the chest to knock em off balance then use your imagination!!!
ideally you want to avoid punches and kicks, if a shotgun blast isnt going to knock over a zombie (just blow bits off it) then strikes wont do much

you want to manipulating the joints and centre of gravity via techniques, then you run away while they are on the floor
lol thats what I just said!

"if a shotgun blast will not knock someone over...kicks and punches (strikes) wont either"
A close range shotgun blast will knock a person off balance by the pure force of it. Combine the shock and trauma, a slug of lead, and the bodies natural recoil from an intruding and painful object; a person will fall down. But none of that applies to a zombie because it doesn't feel and doesn't care about personal damage.

Don't forget about the shock wave around a traveling bullet. That will shatter the glass. Some rifle rounds travel supersonically, causing massive damage, not by their size, but by the wave of air around them. The velocity of the bullet sends a wave of physical trauma through a body.

Take a deer for example. A shotgun slug leaves a nice little hole in the hide. Peel the hide off and there's a 2x larger hole where the meat has been torn inward. The muscle and blood has gelled to the size of a large paper plate. A pistol does it on a smaller scale, but the wave can tear arteries or cause the body to shut down in defense of itself (not realizing it's killing you in the process).

Recoil from a weapon is not enough (usually) to knock the shooter down because the vast majority of energy is expelled out the open end of the weapon. Not because the bullet is slow and weak. The "equal and opposite reaction" is altered here, because the gun is designed to propel the force forward. The equal reaction is at the other end, where the bullet hits. But it's small size keeps a bullet from bulldozing a human body. Whereas a small animal would go spinning off into the distance from the impact. Or a kid. Just like swinging a bat doesn't throw you to the ground, yet it cracks skull quite nicely.

I recommend throwing the weakest, slowest, or least useful person of the group into the zombies in an attempt to knock them down. If it works great, if it doesn't...you still have time to run while they eat that poor sucker!!

I rambled a bit...sorry
"the equal reaction is at the other end, where the bullet hits."
that makes no physical sense. there is an equal amount of force coming out of the barrel as there is pushing back the shooter, minus the force of the gun barrel deflecting up. The reason the bullet does so much more damage is because it is being spread over a much smaller area than that of the stock of the gun.
There is a whole new "equal but opposite" reaction going on when the bullet hits the target.
