IS THERE ANYTHING THAT HASN'T BROUGHT THE DEAD BACK TO LIFE?

Being an avid zombie fan (no pun intended) and an aspiring writer, I've been racking my brain (or what's left of it) on creating a new zombie novel, but everything and anything has been thought of:
Virus's (naturally), acid rain, meteor's, laboratories, and, oh yeah, we can't forget the government.
Is there anyone out there that has thought of something I haven't thought of?

Simple, an amoeboid that immediately through the blood brain barrier and becomes colonial in the brain. From there it begins to consume the cerebral cortex, which would destroy all superior brain functions, and from there begins to spread a simple neural network of sorts down the major nerver clusters of the outer extremeties controlling movement. The inferior brain functions could be easily focused to hunting and feeding on humans by a complex amoebic colony.
Once the Cerebral Cortex is gone the subject will basically be a zombie.

The reason I know all this is because my friend and I had set out to design a zombie contagion that would not cross-vector and would be potentially curable, this however would be fairly hard do to actual amoeba we chose as the subject of genetic alteration. The amoeba is Naegleria fowleri, look it up its quite a nasty little pathogen.
wow how do people know this stuff honestly i'm stumped
Well, if you were a good enough geneticist and played your cards right than you could alter a N.Fowleri strain that could, in theory, convert a human being into something that could be considered a zombie.

And as for the colony thing....the amoebas would form a central mass where the cerebral cortex would be, from there it would reach out the pseudopoda down the nerve clusters, allowing for the transmittance of the nerve signal through the decaying nerve. It could also extract nutrients from the matter eaten by said zombie.

PLEASE...reply to this and point out any holes in the theory.
this is so complicating i don't even follow
1.The first stage would consume the C.Cortex, the second stage would feed on the matter consumed by the zombie

2.It wouldn't turn into a amoebic slime because it would be working as a colony, which is similar to a singular organism in the fact that it would not rapidly multiply, it would control its mitosis enough to not turn the zombie into a walking cytoplasmic blob

3.You could alter the genetics to where the amoeba would be spread through fluids, allowing easy...and classic...transmission.
Hair Dye....all i'm saying
well you have to think portuguese man-of-war, its a colonial organism. Each type of separate organism in the colony does a specific task, in the Z-Amoeba..in theory...you could alter the genetics to where, at a certain stage, would develop a simple cellular specialization.
If someone really worked hard on this than it wouldn't be that hard to alter the genes of N.Fowleri to where the cells would act in unison, similar to a singular organism.

Feeding....the Z-Amoebae would feed on the meat eaten by the zombie. During periods where the zombie cannot access food, the Z-Amoebae would feed on nutrients already present in the host causing the body to rot just as a classic zombie would
i think i understand this
hatred, vengence, blood oaths, etc.
but guys if we made this website to stop the zombies why are we thinking of ways to create them?!?!?!?!? lol
lol. You have a very interesting point.
I guess if we can figure out how they came to be in the first place, we can eliminate all the damn mistakes created by human kind.
there are tons of things..
you go the whole Voodoo route..that isnt done anymore..and really its kinda sad cause Voodoo zombies make less sense..and I like that.
I have an idea for one but I cant tell you cause...yeah..I'm gonna make a zombie movie...

but good luck...
