when choosing your weapons to battle the hords of the undead get something light weight, duriable, quiet and could kill a zombie in one or two hits,my choice(crowbar)is curved design makes it easy to grip, the shapened end makes a good tool to shove through the eye socket and it can help pry doors,or move heavy objects.

yes, police do use the asp, but anyone can purchase them. you can also get tactical impact batons at most pawn shops for very cheap, 15 dollars or so.
i saw one at a gunshow for 40, and i just got chased by one. im really thinking about getting one.
I have so many weapons in my garage i cant even keep track. but i would have to say my favorite is the hatchet, it is light wieght, i have a sharpener to keep it sharp and it can penetrait the skull and hit the brian with a good swing
but don't you have to get really close to a zombie to kill it, putting you more in danger?
Use the back, crushing the skull is just as good and you have less chance of lodging it in the skull and having difficulty with recovery
The best type of crow bar is the light titanium ones coming in from the west. Also if a man can't get his hands on a crowbar go shovel! Although not recommended the spade penetrate the skull or damage the spine. Another good thing is that you could find shovels everywhere!

Once again USING A SHOVEL AS A MELEE WEAPON IS NOT RECOMMENDED
I don't want people running around like idiots trying to bash zombies with shovels
One thing I have learned from all the reading I have done on this subject that many people forget, is that you are most likely going to find yourself in a situation where you need to fight off several enemies at one time. You should choose a weapon that suits your body type and strength. Lets be realistic for a moment, not all of us are Army commando's who train hours on hours every day to remain in peak physical condition. Not all of us are men either. So choose something you know you can wield efficiently and have a back up. IE, I want something I can use as a ranged weapon. I am pretty handy with a glock 9mm because its lightweight and easy for my body frame to handle. But if I have a close encounter I am not going to get many swings out of a fireman's axe before fatigue sets in. So a smaller hatchet, or well balanced baseball bat might be best for me. Good thing I have one at the entrance of my apartment.
I absolutely agree with this...smart thinking...I'm not exactly in the best shape of my life so...
Tami is right poeple would need to find a weapon that fits them right, if a well trained army sharpshooter you could probebly use like an m4 or something but a pistol would best suit a normal civilian
well the problem with a normal civilian, with no history with guns, wielding a hand gun isn't the best idea because hand guns are alot harder to aim rather than a rifle.

but if you have experience with hand guns than have at it.
Excellent work, but are you sure that Death might be kinda pissed that ou're stealing his idea? Trust me, that guy doesn't believe in trials.
A crowbar is a very good choice but ive been thinking lately...and i noticed that i dont have any weapons! holy crap! but i do have this HUGE knife, not such a good idea to use a knife though because you have to get really close to the zombie to be able to strike the head! oh no HELP!!
