I'll pick, when I can, the M1 Carbine, since its in a .30-06 which can punch holes and maybe knock a zed backwards or off its feet,and its easy to reload come to think of it. and I would go for the Machete too, not only it can remove a limp but can break bones as well, if you don't the break skin you'll break the bone.

why bother a very sharp edge when you can go for a semi-sharp and break a zeds arm or leg, or even neck. and just for laughs try smacking one with the flat of the blade.

Crowbar and a Model 500 6.5" smith & wesson.

Utility and a gun that has a powerful punch. Easy mobility, concealment if needed (good if need to hide from other looters), ammo is lighter than larger weapon shells.

well it all depends on the situation. If I were to be in a long term siege I would have dug a giant pit around my house. when the zombies start getting into it id drop kerosene and a flame in it and sit back to watch some zombie BBQ.


weapon wise though id like to go for the 12 gauge shotgun. cant go wrong with that. If you were a great shot id suggest a rugger .22 carbine

I had this same Idea, building a Castle like home with a draw bridge and have large pit around it full of sharp spikes, then once it was getting full I would burn the bastards, of course large fans would have to be added to the walls to avoid the smell.

I like baseball bats or some other object that I can bash skulls in with. It isn't that great for getting surrounded but that is totally NOT my bag, baby. I guess I also get some sort of perverted satisfaction out of slamming a zombie into the pavement, yeah?

I'm with you on the baseball bat. Machetes are great, I have a few myself, but I doubt anyone here has ever used it to dismember anyone. It's probably a lot harder than the movies make it, and it would be easy to get it stuck in some one's head. That 2 extra seconds to push the zombie off the blade are all it takes to become zed chow.

With a bat, you can run and swing, use one hand if the other's disabled, and you get a satisfying "PING" with every whack. That and a carbine and I'll be as happy as a clam.

I have used a machete to cut trough jungle when in the Mexican Army so I have a pretty good tip for you guys, Make sure it's really sharp, make sure you have a sharpening tool and instead of pulling out the Machete try to slide it of, also Smaller Machetes are easier to use.

I'd choose 4 weapons(ill state weapons which i can obtain or already have):
1. Primary weapon: Rifle. For this i'd use M1 carbine. Its great becouse ammo isnt really hard to find, bullets come in clips and so on. Quite nice for sniping, i have a scope which i could atatch to the gun.
2. Sidearm: .44 magnum colt anaconda. Reliable as all revolvers are, powerfull but i could handle it with ease. Or - 9mm glock 17 semi auto.
3. Melee weapon:
Melee...My home domain. For this id choose high carbon blade since it would be great to cleave heads off and you wont need to sharpen it a lot. Machete would be my primary choice although its flat blade might get stuck in flesh. If i would ever get my hands on golok - that would be my choice.
4. Secondary melee weapon: combat knife. I guess i'd choose it "just in case".
Also when i wear all that stuff id still have spare hands so id take a crowbar with me. It would prove very useful i think.
