wut weapon would u use to bash open a zombies skull. and if that item has any other uses then tell us. my melee wepon would be a katana so i can decapitate a zombies head vary easily
I have something that would be better than a trench spike. It's called the Annihilator it's a demolition hammer, here's a pic
It is quite heavy and it has a hammer on one end, a classic claw on other end. A 'drywall axe' used for only drywall but could be quite useful against zombies. And on the bottom end of it there's a spike! In my opinion it'd be a great hand weapon for zombie destruction and a useful tool for repairs and such.
i think that having a lot of one handed weapons would work for me cuz like if you had two hammers strapped to your side and also a sword on your back. you can also have a hunting knife just in case you lose your stuff or you'll have some different weapon everytime
does a tank count as a melee weapon if you aren't shooting from it? but just in case i run out of gas i would keep an ax handle with a good inche filled with lead to give it some weight
being an avid historian and reeenactor i would more than likely have to go with: main pollaxe(shown above), secondary: tomahawk; seeing as it has a good axe blade on one end and most are made from a metal band that encompasses around the shaft makeing it a good mace for busting brittle bones. lastly, either a crowbar or of i could find it... that demolition hammer.

Nice! A pollaxe has been the next thing on my wish list for a year or so now, just been looking around for a real one not a wallhanger.
A pollaxe would be an awesome weapon, failing that a warhammer if you can find one with a spear end like the pollaxe shown above. The spike would be the main weapon for zombie dispatching but who could resist the hammer lol
You've got to love the Middle Ages, they knew how to bash heads and that's where you've got to look I reckon.
I'm thinking full armour and a Mace/Broadsword if you know you're going to hit some heavy zombie action, a lighter sabre for home protection and less infested areas.
Also moats, drawbridges, portcullises(portculli?), it's all about finding a castle and sitting tight.

yep blunt weapons are the way to go. things with spikes (crowbars) or machete type weapons are only going to get stuck in zombies and you are then without a weapon. Morning stars, maces, warhammers and halberds/poleaxes are the way to victory!
A katana is a good idea but if you're surrounded on all sides the zombies are'nt going to wait for you to cut their head off they're going to all come at you at once. In that situation you dont have enough room to swing the sword. I would actually use a hammer or actually a medeval mace. theyre short and veery strong plus they have wicked spikes on them.
