When an outbreak takes place, where would you go, who would you take with you, and do they know the plan?

The best way to survive an outbreak or disaster of same kind is to have a plan. Where to go, What to do, what weapons to take, because the law would probably freak out if they saw you walking down main street with a gun or a sword. Where would you stash food? What people would you trust to go with you. People who don't know what to do is meat.

Well Me, I have a very practical side to me. I will kill any one who isn't pulling their weight. I will defend with every bit of strength that I have. Even my wife if she slows me down will be left behind.
I suppose it depends on where I am at the point where the out break starts. If I'm at work I have quite a bit of protection actually, but no real way of ensuring that I have supplies. Due to security measures all ready in place to prevent corperate espiange zombies wouldn't really get in. (Due to big brother watching me I don't think I should go into too much detail on the security we have) But suffice to say so aslong as power stays on, and no one all ready infected is allowed onto the floor work would be relitively safe.

At home I would utilize the attic. I don't think it would be that hard to rewire certain things, and there's plenty of space in the attic. However both ofthose optiones would be tempary. Ultimately I would be planning on getting out to the Mount. Hood Wilderness area where a number of oregon scadians are all ready planning on setting up head quarters. These are the people I'd trust with my life, both for having the skill to do it, and for being prepared.

Cobra I honestly don't think the police are going to be worried about looting if they're trying to combat an active and growing army of zombies, and that's assuming they're able to get organized enough to do anything in the first place. If/Once the infection is under control then maybe they'ed be able to do something about looting, or other problems that are likely to crop up.
If the zombie apocalypse happened tomorrow, I couldn't do $h1t unless I convinced my parents. However, I do plan to make a zombie FORT. I have maps of where there is plenty of wind (for power), earthquake hazard zones (to avoid) and locations of underground water. I also have a list of plants that can be used as medicines, ways to manage pests once there are no more pesticides (mosquitoes will go from being a minor annoyance to a major health concern), ways to heat water without power, indoor heating and cooling that also doesn't require power, directions to make compost heaps (to grow crop when all the fertilizer is gone), a decent knowledge of farming (and a stepdad who grew up on one) and a simple construction technique that is strong enough to build dams without the long term drawbacks of reinforced concrete (steel rusts and weakens the concrete it was suppose to strengthen). I am also competent with my .22 rifle, my brother's shotgun (almost useless against Z's but very effective against human attackers), my Mom's .22 pistol and Chad's (the aforementioned stepdad) .45 handgun, as is the rest of my immediate family. I own a bow (a longbow, not the overly complicated nonsense a compound bow would become in a zombified world) and could quickly become competent with it (not much use against a Z, but it's perfect for hunting as it's silent, you wouldn't have to waste bullets on your food and the ammo's reusable). And, to be perfectly honest, anyone on this site would have an excellent chance of survival for two, infinitely simple, reasons: they are willing to believe that zombies could exist and would know to avoid areas with a high concentration of people (and people in general). One average person who knew either one (let alone both) would have a better chance of survival than a group of well armed soldiers.
id try to get to the Allegheny National Forest in PA and from there rough it i guess?
Right behind ya!!!
Dudes, make it down to Newport, Perry County, Pa and Look me up. Plenty of room.
Should this happen, I'd get my family and a couple of friends, raid a gun store, and then barricade the gym I regularly go to.

The gym equipment can be used for other kinds of weapons, and it's relatively removed from areas where zombies would probably group, and there is a supermarket very close by in case we need to make food runs.
My plan is to get to my place. This is a plan for disasters of any kind. My friends and family know to come to my home too. My home is in the country, it is defensible and I have my own well and septic. I have a generator and the materials to put up a wind turbine. Those who are familiar with me know from my other posts that I have guns, ammo and transportation (horses). My home is made of stone so all I'd have to do is fortify the windows and doors. We keep a stock of canned goods and flour and such. I've also got a couple cases of MREs. The home has two working wood fireplaces and we heat with a wood fired water furnace. If you read my blog you'll get a decent description of my home. The Home of my character is based on it almost to a "T".
