let say you are trying to get from point a to point b wich between are dozens of zombies you have no car and all you have is junk I would put on a heavy winterlack a football helmet a metal tube wich goes from myneck to ankles A small whole in it to fit my 44 handgun and another for a chainsaw.

So your gonna roll around in a pipe?

You mean like a bear-proof suit?
i would suck if you had to take a deuce while wearing that.
The bear suit is great. Troy Hurtubise is a genius. Wacky and crazy but aren't they all?
Sounds more like a very heavy, and cluttering distraction if you asked me.

If there is only junk lying around, a trashcan lid would do better than that. All that extra weight would just slow you down enough to coax the stenches to come and knock you over, pull you out, and have you for dinner.

if the shelter I've taken was sturdy enough for a long enough period of time, and my resources are reliable, I can roughly make a jacket with enough kevlar and scrap metal. As for whoever wants to use it, maximum mobility would not be something you can count on. Enough protection could be provided for your arms, back, chest, and neck, but your legs would be completely exposed. A lightweight and layered mesh-like material would be more suitable for the legs, and with enough duct tape and towels you can make some very uncomfortable elbow and knee pads. But all in all, it wouldn't last long enough for all the effort put into it. So you're better off taking shelter or using a raised vehicle.

Or, you could take one of those chain mail shark suits that the divers use. Where in the hell are you gonna find one of those?
No armour light and tight is the way to go. no loose or hevery stuff slows u down. Read This:

But It's white in real life ive saw one like this. but it wasnt for sell! And It's Called "The Zombie Survival guide"
If U want lightweight Try Bullet proof vest or Paint vest and Paintball helmets and A mtx Shirt at best. Tight and Light.
Football helmet?
Don't quite understand why you need a helmet against Zak, shaving your head might work better since there would be no hair to grasp. Hopefully they won't get close enough to grasp you. A metal tube? Where are you going to find something like that. Steel pipe forget it, galvanized or aluminum duct work might be light enough to handle? Possibly it might work but I think it would restrict your movement to much. What happens when they knock you over? 44 handgun? You ain't Dirty Harry. You want large capacity low recoil with good penetration. A Glock 17 is perfect, 17 rounds in the mag one in the pipe or you could use the 33 round mags although they are a tad unhandy. If you are a good shot a 22 could be a good choice, problem with them is 22 rimfire tends to have far more dud rounds than centerfire. Chainsaw? I am not even going to go there. (I know you were just kidding about the chainsaw)

I currently own several paintball masks.
I don't know how much you have worn one but they can restrict your field of view, are hot and tend to fog up.

Actually there is quite a bit of protective gear out there for example cut proof clothing for people who run chainsaws and such for a living. The problem is finding stuff like this when the shtf. Just Google cut proof clothing, there is stuff that would let you walk through a crowd of Zaks taking them out with a screwdriver as long as you stayed on your feet and didn't get tripped or knocked down.
I have always thought a leather jacket with leather gloves high top boots and perhaps jeans and chaps. I don't know about Chaps as I have never worn a pair.
The leather should provide enough bite protection. If not save the last bullet for yourself.
well if it was me i would simply wear my tactical gear... but since not everyone is as paranoid as me, and actually owns full tac gear. you could probably just do with many layers of clothing, but your outside and in a pile of garbage so i would say your best bet is to just get weapons and make your way threw hell. but also if you are interested in buying tac gear, remember that it is very functional ,but not really light...or cheap for that matter. i fully agree with frost about leather, that is the way to go.
I am not in the imperial guard ,Mango
You probably just want a polilce tactical outfit, available at any polive station you find. All of it is stab proof, right down to the gloves and so bite proof. Not to mention light and flexible.
