Of course, everyone thinks Z films to not have anything taken away, but there are certain things that cause a film to get away from the true essence of the zombie.

One thing I think should be taken out is the 'Play-doh Effect' in which Zombies can easily tear a victim limb from limb and rip them open like a paper bag.

i hate the fact that a zombies teeth can easily tear a big chunk of human flesh arent zombies.......daed so there teth shouldent be that strong right??????>??

There was so many pages, forgive me if I didnt read them all and I rehash something already said.

1. NO BLONDE DUMB BUSTY BIMBOS! - Anna Nicole Smith is dead, no need to reanimate her.

2. NO HELPLESS WOMEN - Remember the 1990 remake of NOTLD she was a redhead that kicked ass. The original girl in the 60s version died!

3. ANIMALS - No dogs or anything that yaps and can give away locations

4. BOYFRIEND GIRLFRIEND SCENARIOS - They ALWAYS A L W A Y S put everyone in danger and arent necessary to the plot anyway.

5. ARMY BASES, SHOPPING MALLS, OFFICE BUILDINGS - Its old, its tired, get over it.

Thats just my opinion.

Oh, and if zombies are gonna be fast, they cant be so fast that they can rip a human being to shreds...their nails arent sharper then living humans ya know!

This is more of a “what makes a good zombie movie” response to this question.
• I think of zombies as homo- mortuus, a sub-species of homo-sapians. This distinction occurs as a result of an infection, of a yet unknown origin.

• Based on this assumption, I think that these creatures can and would evolve, thus leading to faster, stronger, more intelligent zombies. Due to the spread of infection I think that it is plausible that the rate of “bite mutation” could be has quickly as every three generations or conversions.

• I also believe that the infection only attacks the human genetic structure. While I believe that zombies would eat any flesh they encounter, they could not spread the virus through other species.

• I think that films should also focus on the utter decay of civilization that would occur as result of the down fall of human infrastructures. Many other non-zombie viruses would be released as a result of rampant death and decay, stagnant water, lack of continued sanitation, etc. (NOTE: it is also possible that as a result of a rise in other deadly pathogens that the Zombie Prime virus could also mutate leading to my second point.)

• Zombies are only one threat to survivors. Character depth can come from addressing the vast majority of other hazards.

• While in no way do I wish to come off a misogynistic, I think that as society falls apart and the need to secure goods and services, and the primal nature of the human species; nudity and sex would become quick currency and men would readily attempt to accept and acquire it and kill to keep it. History bears this out.

• Resources are finite. Food, water, and medical supplies run out. So do bullets. I can’t stress that enough. You don’t have a never ending steam of ammunition.

• Agreed not everyone is an expert marksman. I would rather have a qualified physician and mechanic on my team than someone who thinks that they are a great shot.

• Get the hell out of urban areas, lower population density = less zombies. Not to mention a greater opportunity for sustained food production and cleaner water supplies.

• Suspense and the unknown are way creepier than wall to wall gore. Don’t get me wrong I love me a good violent zombie mutilation, but not every three minutes.

This is my two cents. Ok maybe more like a buck twenty.

I haven't read through this entire thread so if this is a repeat excuse me.

I'd like to see one movie where there aren't a bunch of people acting as though this is really not a big deal.  Let me tell you something, I am trained and more than ready.  If I see a bunch of ambulatory rotting corpses coming to make some lunch meat out of yours truly, I am going to take aim and pull the trigger while I am shitting my fucking pants.  People are going to scream their heads off right before they lose all psychological cohesion.  Babies are going to be left in strollers while their parents take the last of the sterno and run.  People are going to commit suicide while watching the news broadcast and people are going to kill their entire families instead of deal with trying to survive.

There are a lot of people out there, many of whom frequent LZ and other similar sites who want you to believe that they are zombie killers through and through.  That in the context of this scenario, they will lead their group of survivors over the hill and see the dawn of a new civilization.  This is movie talk and nothing more.  That's what I would like to see left out of the movies for a change...the badass, I can't get killed types.  I want to see the people who lose their shit and get killed right away because that is much more realistic.
