Of course, everyone thinks Z films to not have anything taken away, but there are certain things that cause a film to get away from the true essence of the zombie.

One thing I think should be taken out is the 'Play-doh Effect' in which Zombies can easily tear a victim limb from limb and rip them open like a paper bag.

YES!! I agree
true my undead dude i'm no fan or the speedy gonzolaz corpse either. i hate it when they mess up the facts like in Resident Evil the virus was spread through the ventilation system wtf
don't get me wrong i love Resident Evil and all other zombie movies just not the ones that aren't relevant to the zombie nature
what your not getting is no one knows what causes it, there are so many viruses natural and man made then can do this, thats why there are so many variations of the zombie, originally it was the dead coming to life from the grave anbd roaming the earth.
no zombie movie should have zombies talking moaning for brraaiinnss
Yeah fast moving zombies are ridiculous. Like 'You can't catch me you're a zombie ha-ha OH WHAT TH-' Is just pretty silly.
I don't really like the fast zombies either, mainly because it becomes far more difficult to believe that an average joe who "sell[s] TVs at Best Buy" can survive against a swarm of ravenous monsters that can run as fast as an olympic sprinter!  I tend to believe that if they were all "runners," then the only ones left would be athletes and military personelle; very few civilians would survive.
How about the lame Quote. "If it comes to that ill do it myself" . Its in every movie made, What do you mean if it comes to that . They were bit so they will turn & try to eat you & who ever else. I cant stand that quote.....
i think animals shouldn't (meaning common animals like dogs horses) even though i know they weren't hurt at all during the making of the movie i still feel uber bad for them mutated dogs and horses i can care less about but the puppies :'~(
Kinda odd that would would feel bad for animals and not the Women and children
that have become zombies. Not that I would even blink before smashing thier skulls in mind you.
yeah i know but humans they can defend themselves (somewhat) animals like dogs will die for you without a moment's hesitation... idk i just see it differently i guess
I know there's something that I've noticed in alot of fan films and that is how people that are acting as army men often try to make their voice darker and tougher if you know what I mean and it just sounds so fake!! I mean soldiers are NORMAL people, they have NORMAL voices damnit! :D
You know honestly though, when I see a fan film and a soldier sounds like a total little bitch, it gets hard to suspend my disbelief. Honestly I agree with your point, but it's like a subconcious expectation for the warrior roles to evoke control and power, and a dude with a whinny or weak voice doesn't fit the bill. Of course if he's trying to sound like batman did in that last movie, then the whole joints blown, and if he has a beard and anything past a crew cut then I'm pretty skeptical (for american troops anyway).
