No guns in the UK for civilians unless you are in a shooting club (Even then it is either a shotgun for game or .22 for target shooting). The only chance I could get my hands on one is to break into a farm and take their shotgun (risk) or take one from an armed police unit- MP5, which depends on them being pretty dead.

If zombie Tony Blair started Z-humping my front door right now I would take either my Roman Gladius (Mainz pattern) or Falcatta (designed for taking off limbs) for one hand and buckler (think a steel dinner plate with a 9 inch spike in the middle) for the other.

Primarly, an AR15 platform which is easy enough to get a hold of in either civilian versions, military versions, and police versions. The ammo is accessible in both sporting goods stores, or a dead armory. If you prep long enough and live in the states you can build an AR15 platform from Shotgun News for around 600$, or once the dead hit, the National guard in your area should be nice and eaten so you can take their standard issue M16A3s, or a dead police officers pistol.

Myself, already have an CAR15(XM733 with S-System rail and collapsing stock modifications to be exact), M1911A2, and a short sword as well as a claw hammer.

Armblades. Kept very sharp. With one good backhand it will cut mostly anything. So flesh is a given. Plus these look much cooler than just a normal knife. Rarely get in your way. Zombies can't bite your forearms either. Very useful.

Wooden Katana. It is very very tough. A lot stronger than you think. Plus it just looks all around bad ass.

the classic machete can found in most places here in the U.S. and most other countries im sure. for CC, melee it would be this. A khukri knife would be very handy and full tang katanas are easy enough to find now online(before any major breakouts of course). for CC firearms, i would use my AK-47 or for pistols glock or 1911.
