All right, now think carefully and realistically, Pick your CC weapon, no bullshit, something you can actually get your hands on.

Dude... Khukri..

You rock.
Good idea for a survival tool (The reverse can be used as a hammer) but for killing zombies, you will want something designed for thrusting at the head or something which is designed to take off the head/limbs.
I concurr.
if you can cut the head in half, why does it matter if its a thrusting weapon or not.
A handgun is a handy CC attribute, six times, but I'm asking for a CC arm that doesn't rely on ammunition.
The only reliable way to stop someone with a 25 is by shooting through the sinus cavity. Even then when I say reliable I don't mean 100% I mean it's the only way.

For me a Glock 17 and a CAR-15.
I think these have the best weight to shot ratio with the reliability of center fire.
When it comes to ammo when you have no ready resupply more is better.

I shoot a grunch of 22 bullets. Take it from me you don't want to stake your life on rimfire if you can help it. Duds are just frequent enough to make me worry.

For the living a 10mm Glock and M1-A.
Is there such a gun like a Winchester which chambers .22 ? I would guess if a jam occurs you would be able to eject the round with the lever action nice and quick.
Henry rifles has both a .22 pump action and a few lever action models (henryrepeating.com) that are fairly compact and hold 12 to 15 rounds. If you have a dud round just pump it or use the lever action and you're back in business. A machete is fairly easy to get and wouldn't be a bad backup weapon either. Get a military surplus version if possible since they are made of higher quality steel than most other models.
Actually I was thinking of the plainer versions like the .22 lever action youth model. They're small and light enough to carry around all day and you can find .22 ammo pretty much anywhere ammo is sold. They also have that survival AR-7 model that breaks down and stores in it's own stock. Both the receiver and barrel on the AR-7 has a teflon finish for durability. I'd also want something a little bigger for trouble of the non-zombie variety (looters that thought my stuff was theirs for the taking).
You also get to do the cool swing the lever around with your wrist to reload like in Terminator 2, and watch it break off then get eaten.
Agreed, while being showy is attractive, kicking it old school and doing things right looks far better than a half dozen bitemarks.
umm, a winchester would be showy, but also a badass weapon, against zombies.
