What if a pregnant woman was going into Labor and was biten by a zombie?

Ok would the unborn or soon to be born die when the mother or carrier died or would the baby absorb the virus and turn while still in the womb I could not find any info in the zombie survival guide any answers?

In my opinion if a pregnant woman were to be bitten just prior to going into labor the virus would only spread to the fetus if the embryonic sack is ruptured and blood makes contact with the unborn baby. Now if the mother were to be bitten several weeks, or days, before going into labor it wouldn't matter whether the sack breaks or not. As the mother's chemical physiology is altered by the virus the environment would become unsuitable for the baby and it would expire inside her.
I believe its called a Caesarean section. I know this might be hard for you to grasp but in this "Modern Age" a "C-Section" is a common procedure performed by "Doctors" and when performed successfully eliminates any risk of the newborn contracting the mothers contagion.
First off, were debating whether or not a pregnant woman getting bit by a freaking zombie would have complications during childbirth, second I don't know what fantasy land issued you a medical certificate but they have clearly reached their benchmark. By your use of interloping logic all women should then pass on whatever ailments they have to their offspring. Which would mean that no baby has ever been born from a mother infected with AIDS that did not contract the virus itself. You say your a E.M.T but you lack any real common sense understanding of your particular field, whatever that is. I imagine your probably scrambling through Google and Wikipedia right now trying desperately to come up with some convoluted and technically enhanced paragraph that will surely leave the rest of us laughing and you feeling some modest sense of self accomplishment.
Isn't the placenta a direct link from the baby to the mother?

If so then virus time here we come.
The Placenta acts as a barrier protecting the unborn child from bacteria and other harmful viruses that the mother might contract, like HIV and AIDS.
the baby feeds throught the placenta tho so fuck it shoot the mother in the head and put a couple rounds in the stomach your bound to hit the baby in the head and there it solves the prob
rigggght we can let suck on our fingure until the skin comes offthan what
i agree with you
Nasty situation to be in. Just to give the kid a fighting chance I think I'd restrain the mother and wait until it's delivered to see the condition it's in. If it's already turned I suppose both of them are gonna have to be eliminated.
I agree. Even though it's pretty effing likely the kid will be either a zombie or psychologically damaged from being inside a dead mother. That sort of thing is less medical and more mental.
i think it would only be psychologically damaging if someone told him because i know i don't remember anything from that time. who knows for some unknown reason he might have a cure. so i agree give the kid a shot at life
Watch the Dawn of the Dead remake and that will answer your question.
