Im not here to tell you why Wal-mart is the best place to bunker down. Im here to tell you why you should stay away from it. One reason is that everyone is going to be heading there to get food and water and other supplies. All that is going to do is gather unwanted attention. Second if you think that all you have to do is run in the store and pick up some guns and ammo your dead wrong. Chances are there are still going to be employees there, and they are not going to simply hand you a gun, expecially if your a kid. Another reason is even if you manage to somehow get a firearm your not going to be able to use it because all the guns in the store no matter where you live will have a certain lock that only employees can unlock. And last when the power goes out the food will begin to go bad, and instead of dealing with the undead you'll be dealing with food poisonings and other diseases. To sum it all up, you should be prepared a head of time and avoid going to Wal-mart or any other large superstore.

Good to see someone else has the right idea, kudos to you. ;)
i agree in most part. if your looking for food you should hit abandoned homes and grocery stores for non-perishables. wal-mart would be swamped but once it calms down you can pick through it for some food/weapons. i wouldn't go to wal-mart if i was about to get 6 inches of snow let alone a zombie invasion. after it cools down and the panic stops(weather its due to evac, people hiding, or everyone's dead already), then is your best chance to pick through whats left, if any.

best option is to be ready for whatever happens, be it severe weather, terrorist attack, or zombie invasion. just remember "just because your paranoid doesn't mean it can't really happen".
I wouldn't because EVERYBODY will go there and Im not protecting everybody i come acrossed.Vs.
Your absolutely right.
Screw Bloody Wal-Mart! I agree with Hermia here. Get your (explative) in order now and get what you need. If you have a place to go that you can store supplies for a possible arrival down the road, great. If not store them at home and be prepared to load them in vehicles and get the hell out of dodge. The latter scenario is far less appealing but you might get away with something. The argument has been made before that it may not be immediately obvious that a person is "infected" so standing out in public loading your car may not be possible but you may be able to keep your things inside (depending on where you live) and stay for a time until things "cool down" (I'm using quotation marks and parentheses too much I know). What I can say for certain is this. There is no way I'm stepping foot in a Wal-Mart without first doing some recon and ascertaining what the threat might be, employees, Zeds, red headed stepchildren with Uzi's...whatever.
