Take your favorite zombie movie of all time and analyze it and compare the main characters way of survival to how you should correctly survive a zombie attack.....
The Umbrella Corp. hides an infestation like any Government would by covering it up. Also the way that an actual cure would work is in stages. As in the 2nd movie Spencer took the antidote and he died. (lol!) In the end when Alice leaves the hospital you see the obvious signs of an evacuation or mass panic. Of course by the time that outbreak could occur it's very unlikely that as many articles that were shown would be posted or published.
if anyone wants to explain different or more parts feel free.
the fact of so many newspapers being published while the outbreak was occuring sorta unrealistic but it added the drama of a mysterious force that made THE DEAD WALK...
I dont think any movie has given us any way of survival that would work.
1.) I would'nt hide in an old house.
2.) I would'nt hide in an under ground missle silo.
3.) And i sure as shit would'nt go to the fucking MALL!!!
I think the best coarse would be the way the bikers did it in DAWN.
Stay out of large areas, have big group, & stay on the road. Then you go from place to place getting what you need.
Because in any of the first three romero movies. It was always the same, They would run out of supplies & ammo at some time. And in LandoftheDead if you hold up in one place. Then you keep going out & bringing supplies back. Then every time you go out you will have to go farther every time. I think that would be dangerous...
When employing foot soldier tactics, we found two elements that made overnighters nominally safer. First, when we stopped to make camp for the night, we used a single burner liquid fuel camp stove our "cook" carried with him to quickly prepare and consume a crude meal like ramen or (lord permitting) an MRE. More than once we ran out of fuel for it, but fortunatly we all pack a few of those hexamine solid fuel tabs with us. After we eat, we hang our packs from a tree with 550 para cord, then use these jungle hammock/tents we have to sleep suspended in the trees. We still have a guard on duty, but its way more easy to sleep off the ground.
I agree, but highway transportation may not be viable, or you may be confined to a certain length of road before you wer met with endless wreckage and had to turn back. You could go off road, but then you have to engineer and entire unit for multi terrain mobility. Self sustainable stationary seclusion would be ideal, like a castle, but you would need resources for agriculture and water acquisition.
I don't know. If you could somehow get on the roof of a shopping mall you might be safe at least temporarily. Zombies don't climb well so if there's some sort of ladder access to repair machinery on the roof ( that's usually where they put the air conditioners so someone has to fix them eventually) that would be at least somewhere to catch your breath and reload.
