We know not when this struggle will end, and for whom. It is vital for our survival to replenish our resources and build a steady system. Such networking as this site is a wonderful start, but I feel as though we're focusing too much on the battle, not the defense. As our fighters are overtaken, who will there be left to reinforce them? To keep the human race flourishing?
We need to bring together a new civilization to repopulate our numbers. We'll need to keep them safe, to isolate them from any invasion.
In order to do this, I propose we draw together a number of people (while we still have them) and evacuate them to a far off island that is capable of harboring our species. If this proves a success, we can begin to build up a network of colonies on different islands. In case one gets gets invaded, not all is lost.
We'll need to gather specialists to build a strong community, and have a school system as well. A doctor, a scientist, an ecologist, for example, would be necessary to put on the island. Who else would be subject to the list?
Also, where might they relocate? If Hawaii isn't already crawling with the undead, I feel it would be a suitable location. On that note, any news on how Hawaii is doing?
It's far fetched, but what else can we do? Surely it's a risk to divert our efforts to a plan that may ultimately fail, but we have to decide if it's worth it now to have a back up before our resources deteriorate. We must not rely plainly on primal instincts; our intelligence is what separates us from them. Let's use every advantage we have.
