how long would someone survive in a 2 story mall, about a 1/2 mile long and wide, food courts, gun shops and everything, I just wanted 2 know how long a single person would survive , or how long until he/she goes completely insane and commits suicide. No this is not a joke. and what items are a must have when in the mall ?

I don’t know what weird bizarre world you’re coming from, but your average Wal-Mart shopper around where I live looks, acts and sounds like they dropped out high school, is barely literate, has criminal/ anti-social tendencies and works at a non-skilled job. If that’s the kind of people you want to surround yourself with after the rise of the undead, well hey that’s your call. So am I bias, sure, but I’m just working off my observations. Oh and Prime Predator those Chinese families as well as those families of the Wal-Mart employees that your supporting through your generous patronage of Wal-Mart are living in abject poverty due precisely to the exploitation of your much beloved multination. Those cheap prices come from somewhere. Now for the record I’m college educated and have a household income in the six figures. And since I have a few bucks, I’d rather pay a few cents more and support a company that treats its employees like human beings and not wage slave animals, but hey that’s just me.
I'd have to agree, that's just you. So we all make 6 digits and have college educations. You keep paying higher prices and looking down on your fellow human beings. That's you too. I came from abject poverty and don't want to go back. I worked to get beyond that. Everyone in the US at least has that oppurtunity. How much of a label checker are you? You're probably paying more for items made on the same assembly line with different tags. But again, that's you. I don't begrudge you.

Anyway, this wasn't meant to be a political tyrade post. All I meant to say is that Wal-Mart would be a good place to hold up and get what you need.
I'm college educated (you can tell by my impeccable spelling and grammar) and I shopped at Wal-Mart a ton when I was living in Vegas. It was much cheaper than Target when I wanted to run in, get tampons (oooo I said tampons!) and pears at the same time.

Now that I live in Target Corp's headquarters, I shop there. The prices are amazing.

Regardless, everyone shops at Wal-Mart except snobby people who think they are too good for it and that by their singular boycott of Wal-Mart, the entire corporation will crumble like a wet taco for lack of financial liquidity.

Pfft. Please. You're not saving anyone by not shopping there. Wal-Mart will continue to grind on even if you never step foot in a store in your entire life.

You're not special and its about time snobby people like you realized that. We're all just folks, trying to make it by as best we can. Respect!
LOL! WET TACO!
Since there’s a few of you, I’ll go one at a time, keep it nice and simple for you. First of all Zedhead your statement that individuals and I quote, “who's a big SciFi fan, and has read the handbook, plays alot of Resident Evil, and watched every zombie flick out there,” wouldn’t be able to survive as well as ex-cons and gangbangers is just laughable. Also do you realize what type of site you’re on? Your statement probably just put down easily 80% of the site’s members. Also please don’t connect honest tradesmen and craftsmen with ex-cons, criminals are just that because they lack the skills necessary for honest gainful employment. And gangbangers are not always minorities, so keep your “Miguel, the latino ganbanger” comments to yourself. Oh and can you use spell checker next time. It’s painful having to quote someone who lacks basic high school grammar.

Prime Predator if you want to support a massive multinational that exploits workers in the developing world, doesn’t pay their own employees a living wage or allow them to even form a union and is a poor corporate neighbor, well hell its your money. But you know what they don’t sell on Wal-Mart’s shelves, nor could you buy it no matter how large your income is, is class.

Lastly Courtney if you want to brand me a snob, because I’d rather not shop in dirty, stores filled with the dregs of society, then I’m snob. But before you think that calling me a name is going to hurt my feelings. You should consider that we’re on a site around which folks discuss the end of the world and zombies eating people alive. If that’s the kind of stuff we’re all contemplating, then your little snide remark is hardly going to have the kind of effect you looking for. And no I’m hardly the only person that doesn’t shop at Wal-Mart for among other things ethical reasons. Try looking up the documentary “Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price.”

So if you Wal-Mart drones want to go dog pile into your local big cinderblock megastore when the zombies rise from the grave, well that just means less competition at the Costcos for me. So thanks.
Well Rev I guess you've got class all wrapped up at CostCo too. I seem to recall many of the same products on those shelves.
Oh, yeah the products are exactly the same and I'm sure the prices are very competitive too. No doubt that’s why they dominate the retail market like they do. My argument was that they’d attract a certain types of survivor, that at least in my area, aren’t what I’d call your optimal group of people to fight off the inevitable wave of flesh eating zombies. People in times of emergencies are going to flee to places that they know and feel comfortable. It’s just a numbers thing, if you look at the demographics of your typical Wal-Mart shopper compared to say that of Costco, you’re going to see a sharp contrast. Now that might just be where I live, but I doubt it. The group of people you end-up with is going to be a major factor as to whether you live or become chow for the dead. So for me it’s simple, I’ll want to hunker down where it at least it looks like the people are more social, intelligent and with a greater degree of skills set. If I’m wrong, well then no doubt the zombies will be feasting on my entrails. Its an individual's choice, I was just chiming in with my opinion, which you can take for whatever its worth.
Nice tirade, rather long winded, and ultimately snore-worthy and super boring. Give me something new. Do you also believe everuthing Michael Moore tells you? I'm a liberal, but at some point you have to stop and just be in individual and not a label. Good luck with opening your mind on that.

My point is that all kinds of folks shop at Wal-Mart, its convenient for a lot of reasons if you aren't around a Target or Costco or something, and there's no reason to pass judgement on other people simply because they patronize one store. One store doesn't make the man. Sounds like your stores are unfortunately patronized by people of lesser means than you, but there is no reason to look down on anyone else, unless you yourself are perfect, and you never really know who'll have your back when Z Day comes.
Oh my God, You're a liberal! LOL.....;)
Hush it, you still love me :P
Of Course.
SUPPLIES ONLY!!!!!!!! I cannot stress enough that holding up in a mall is like a giant bounce house of giggly joy for zombies. Unless you built it, STAY AWAY!
