One Bullet Rule?

This comes down to your own moral decision, I think everyone will have a different answer really.

My stance on it is this: go out with a fight. First of all, your gun shouldn't be your last weapon. Close range weapons should be on you at all times. So if you hit the point where you know death is inevitable, you will fire that last bullet into the head of the closest Zed and do your damndest to kill as many as possible before you go. It's better to take out say, 10 zombies on your way out, reducing their numbers by 9 than to simply reduce mankind's numbers by one and keeping the Z's from gaining one more.

No matter what keep shooting. As a fall back strategy I employ the use of an explosive vest much like used in the last decades terror wars. This is simply used as a "Last Stand Mechanism(LSM)."

well i think if your getting swarmed your not gonna reanimate cause your gonna end up to torn apart to do anything (assuming zombies dont know when to stop so you can become one of them) so in that case itd be better to take an extra one out with you if your ready to die a horrible death.
but if your bitten and your going to die and only got one bullet id say go knife some zombies and if you dont get swarmed enough to take you down for good make sure you arent the ones who eat your buddies.
