CERN a gigantic underground facility along the French-Swiss border is about to go online! In order to better understand dark matter and black holes CERN will use a huge particle smasher in an attempt to open a 6th dimension. CERN claims they are looking for what they call the GOD PARTICLE. This will take place very soon!!!!

Not only that, but this is no new project. There are several proton accelerators --- many having created sucessful bosons --- but none yet which have opened a Higgs boson --- which might not even exist.

to add on Roman's info i'd like to say that if you do a little research on the experiment you'll find that everything that they are doing has been happening naturally on and around the earth for just about forever. nothing new to earth.

I do not believe CERN or anything is going to destroy the earth. Only God controls mankinds fate. This was supposed to be a fun what if not a serious discussion. I am now sorry I brought it up. For anyone I upset I apologise. The earth is fine and everyone can relax.

Okay, I'm a rollercoaster fan so, is there a way to maybe get inside that thing and get zipped along at the speed of light or something because that is about as likely as a black hole swallowing the earth...I'm all for science being careful in what they do, I saw "Event Horizon", Y' know?

exactly. Any black holes that are created will be smal enough to absorb enough matter to close themselves anyway.

1st off wtf is the 6th demesion.(sounds like STAR TREK to me.)
2nd the end to the mist was g**. im sure most agree with me.
3rd what if bigfoot comes out of that dimension and cures world hunger and gives me candy!!!!

1.) The sixth dimension is sandwiched in between the 5th and 7th dimensions...
2.) The ending in the written story was far better than in the movie version, but you know how it goes, hollywood has to do something different to make it enjoyable for the fans of the written word (I'd have been happy with the original ending). In the end of the story version (for those of you who are curious this will spoil it..) they make it to NH. Their vehicle is almost out of gas but they hear a radio transmission on the radio (Survivors!) and it pretty much ends there.
3.) If Bigfoot shows up, ask him what he did with my wife. I haven't seen her in a few years and I remember her saying something about likeing "Hairy Men". If he brings candy I may forgive him though...

The ending of the Mist was great. It was so screwed up that is what made it great. The man killed his own son and the 3 other people in the car only to see the troops coming up after he did the deed. That is a far better change than the lame hollywood happy endings.
