How many people thought Land Of The Dead was good, cause i don't think zombies should ever be able to use anything but there usual bite and nails.

well my favorite class of zombies is shaun of the dead,in land of the dead i wouldnt want to be up against that, land of the dead they can somewhat use their head, and 28 weeks later...wel theyre basicialy super humans
I liked Land of the Dead. They really did not use weapons as effectively as a normal person. With the exception of that end sequence with the flaming pot.
i liked land of the dead and the point of that was just like any species the longer there around they learn to adopt to their enviroment wich in the long run when z day hits and if it goes on for a few years and they learn to adopt like in land of the dead it will make things more interesting
That movie was really, really shitty. Wtf was up with the zombies using guns and other weapons? Gorge could of did so much better.
and thats what he gets for going with WB (or whatever big company he went with) as opposed to his indy roots
it was interesting but different, yeah its different lets just leave it at that
If you remember, in the original NOTLD, the little girl in the basement used a trowel on her parents, so I guess it's not anything new...

it sucks like hell, you know it and i know.
the undead with guns is always gonna be a bad thing. if an outbreak occured if treated right with the weapons governments have available we the survivors should have the upperhand. but zombies using those weapons against us and still reanimating us it`s goodbye folks hello united states of zombie. :)~
I thought Land of the Dead was a little bit unsatisfying. I could buy Bub from Day of the Dead being able to use a gun and recognize enemies and so on because the scientist was actively training him. The communal zombies in this one just didn't ring true to me and almost seemed a little silly.

As to the rest of the story, I felt the rich vs. poor scenario was ok but I think the military might vs. the science community in Day of the Dead was more believable. Rich people in tuxedos having cocktail parties while people with guns wallow in poverty doesn't really reflect what I think the post-zombie outbreak society would be like. It would be dog-eat-dog and live-together-die-alone in my mind.
my take on the zombies in land were upgraded for more reasons than one person can guess.my opinion is that it is an extention of the original dawn in that the zombies were drawn to things and places in their past lives like the mall or in land pumping gas.another possible reason is how the genre had flurished before land with 28 days later and dawn of the dead(remake) with the upgrades to the zombie genre.all that being said i liked the movie and drove 70 miles to see it in the theater that was playing it.there are so many instances from all the romero movies before land that point out that zombies can use tools/wepons.
the shadows of life past were always part of the mythos...bub set the standard and then after YEARS, we get Big Daddy. :sigh: at least they were not running.
