one of the remakes had zombies with no legs climbing around using only their arms
Dawn of the dead remake had that, the legless zombie was using the ceiling in the parking garage to get around. But synder stole that from Beyond Re-animator which came out a year earlier and is too similar not to be ripped off.
You do see that in the 1964 movie Last Man on Earth with Vincent Price, though its arguable whether they're zombies, vampires or some weird undead hybrid. Now I've seen zombie kids, but noticed that they never show the kids actually getting attacked by zombies.
now last man on earth is a film based on i am legend just to let u all konw. and there r three movies based on that one book and that is last man on earth with vincent price and the omega man and last but not least i am legend with will smith. although the vincent price movie is the closest too the book. all good movies by the way
Well in norway we have gotten the new zombie movie Død snø( Dead snow). here's the link to imdb. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1278340/ i thought i was fun too watch, and it puts a new side to the facts of zombies in the winter. why don't you see any old zombies in these movies. cmon the elderly would get infected fast, since well they are old, slow and many( not all) are in the same location. you guessed it a retirement home.
Watch Fido. They have zombie domesticated like pets with a special collar. But they always have ads in this town that say not to trust the elderly because they might die on you then instantly turn, so once people start to get into their 60-70s they round them up and put them in homes so that when they die that cant spread the infection to the town. Its a great movie. Very funny.
Ok, 1st, the snowy thing. I had never seen a z-movie happening in winter but I had a dream about the z-apocalypse takeing place in the Moscow Red Square in december and it was heavily snowing.
About the z-kids, there were some in Dawn of the Dead, one in Night of the living Dead and some in 28 days later (or just maybe one), and ofcourse, in Fido.
About eating the hole body, I think it happend in Night of the living dead (1968) and in Dead Set but I'm not sure about it. Also in Night of the Living Dead you can see a z eating a bug, what the hell is that?
Underwater zombies in Zombie2 (shark vs. zombie) and Diary of the Zombies, there was a pool full of zombies who even manage to get out.

Personally I think you don't see many z-celebrities, I mean there was Davina in Dead Set and some look-alikes in Dawn of the Dead.
Feral children? what about kids who've survived alone, say their parents were turned (the kid had to finish off mommy and daddy) or were just killed by shitty fortune. what happens to these people? what happens when they run across other survivors?
Newt hid from the Aliens, why not Zeds?
You don't see a lot of zombie-related things in movies because they're all about making money, and in most cases, action sells better.
I know of a zombie movie in the winter, its new and I dont think its out yet... I dont think ive seen a zombie in outer space though... Jason dosent count. Hes not a zombie, hes a vengeance demon!!
Not sure because its been a really long time, but what was Ghost of mars? where those zombies?
like one person said, action sells better than survival. thus they butchered great titles like RE into action, super human led zombie flicks.

in reality, any one that can get infected can be one.

you never see kids get attacked.
you never see elder zombies.
hospitals are rarely featured as the epicenters of outbreaks.
never see pawn shops being raided for weapons.
common weapons, such as bolt action rifles, old war (WWII) guns, and such are never seen in zombie films.
never see people move together in pairs or groups; "Hey lets split up to find one person."
never see survivors hold their ground in a building instead of running to escape.
never see military personal execute survivors.
The "cowboy" character doesn't die (unlike the STARS sniper in RE2 and or the Texan trucker in RE3).
never see celeb zombies.

and a note:

There needs to be a zombie Apocalypse TV series.
