cutting a zombies head off DOES NOT KILL IT!!! it can still bite you! after u cut a zombies head of, immediately incinerate it, or crush the skull. Zombies do not need their spine to survive.

In movies, I think dogs are spared (most times) because people in general can handle watching other humans get killed, but if they saw a dog die, they'd need counseling and psych meds for the rest of their life.

All I remember is I hated that movie mars attacks cuz the sob's killed the dog. So maybe they didn't want to lose that dog loving fanbase.
