I would get a nice semi auto rifle for long range like a M14 SOCOM or AR-10, For mid to short range I would probably get an AR-15 since the ammo will be fairly plentiful. For short range a nice single edge axe with polymer grip.

I think I'll use:

1. A riot shield (excellent for stopping zombies before hitting them, also good with dog zombies)
2. An iron club (or any kind of blunt weapon)
3. A shotgun

I don't like weapons, because they are slow in reloading, and also it takes a wile to take aim. I prefer close combat. With a blunt weapone I can break a zombie's head in a second and I am ready for the other. With a blade, there is a risk to not kill the enemy, and they are slow (hit in the brain, take of the weapon and so).
A shotgun is good for rapid headshoot, a good aim is not request, but the reload time still can kill you.
Ergo, in the next zombie invasion, FOLLOW ME!
