Survival of the fittest
It was 3 a.m. it was my watch, our compond has been holding up pretty good. It was time for the hourly patrol and as i came up on the supply shed and noticed the door was open. As i approched, a zed came rushing towards me, I put one round in its head and it was stopped in it's tracks, But it turns out it was the brother of one of our survivers we picked up in the last town and apon inspection there was no forced entry into the compound. Rumours are this guy now has it out for me....... what should i do?

Wait was the brother infected or not?
If so Fuck him take it up with compound leaders and have them take care of him. You did your job and you protected the well being of the compound. Don't procrastinate or he might cause a conflict with in the survivors.
If he wasn't infected, your Fucked. We're trying to keep people alive here and you should have been under control. If you killed my brother I'd kill you and anyone who was in my way. Like I said if he wasn't infected your Fucked.

Resolve the issue with the compound leaders. The last thing you need is the whole compound taking sides against each other over some asshole that's not strong enough to except that his brother was dead before you shot him.
Sun Tzu's Art of War says; "Use anger to throw them in disarray". You will all be angry at each other and become impetuous and ignore the original strategy, 'to survive'.
