if no weapons or anything around to defend yourself, what form of martial arts is best used against zombies?

Yeah, I was about to talk about low kicks, but you did it.
hook kick to the back of the knee, instant take down, on anyone, people or zombies.
Hook kicks are fun.
Good point with the stomping- boots with steel caps and soles are a must!
i dont know, but i hold love to do so head smashing, they have horriable balance.use it agisnt them.kick them to the kurb and stomp the head.thats always a morale booster.remember to use the end of your heal.not your hole foot.heal gets more power
2nd dan! tomiki style!
Zed's have poor balance and worse motor skills, so your best bet is anything that puts the zed on the floor with little effort, as little contact with the zed as possible (to reduce chance of grabbing) and that which would put distance between you and it. Kicks are a good bet, to the legs or chest (if you can get that high) Punches should be reserved for those who are strong enough to repel a person with single blows to the body. NEVER punch to the face, the chance of being bitten or getting infected through open wounds is to great.

So, strong boot to the body and peg it is the last resort.
I'd like to try a mixture of Krav Maga and Muay Thai. Here's why:

1. Krav Maga is a martial arts type developed in Israel that is primarily devoted to real-world fighting. It is designed to train users so that they can take advantage of their environment and use realistic techniques against any odds. Training includes: single or multiple unarmed assailants (good against zombies), single or multiple assailants armed with melee weapons (good for fighting, oh say, a crazy hobo? Or a lotta crazy hobos?), and one or more assailants with guns (good for when shit really hits the fan and the military is actually just killing everyone, or you need to go into a restricted area).

2. Muay Thai is a martial arts type devoted to using extremities and hard points on the body to attack enemies. It primarily uses point like the elbows of a person to cause catastrophic damage to an attacker. If one to train themselves hard enough, who knows; perhaps you could crack a zombie's skull open with a deadly-fast crack of the elbow!

At the very least, you could probably train yourself to snap a zombie's spine and keep it from moving about.
yeah and what about those crazy flying knee kicks, iwanna see a zombie with its body snapped in half get back up.
i like the one where i kick them in the face and run like hell!!!.... but also, i doubt theres never anything to defend urself, because there always is, anything that you can use as a barrier between you and the zombie, a chair preferrably, a blanket can cover their face, and then you give them a push and run.
