I heard that the Apocalypse is going to be on December 21, 2012. Do you think there is going to be a Class 4 outbreak on that day? or do you think something else is going to happen?

I actually just read a book by a scientist called "Apocalypse 2012" wish I could remember the authors name. Anyway the whole purpose of the book was to discuss how 2012 is a phenom in SEVERAL cultures not just the Mayan Calender and thier predictions.
The Bible Code, mentions 12/21/12. I Ching, mentions the date. ect ect you get my point. Then he turns to more geographic reasons the date could be important.
Right now the sun is suppose to be in a low activity stage, yet we got hit with a sun flare that was the second largest ever recored during the Hurricane Katrina, Rita, Wilber hurricane season. 2012 is suppose to be the sun at a high activity stage. Is the sun related to the changes in our atmosphere and the severity of the storms, volcano activity, ect.
The Sun and our solar system is entering a thicker (ie more space dust and gases) part of the galaxy, and NASA is concerned about the activity that is going to affect our planet as a result, will the sun have more unexpected solar flares that continue to pound at our ozone and continue to heat up the planet?
Our planet is overdue for an ice age. Will the local supervolcano ie the one located just north of Vegas under the lake, begin to become more active due to the rising average temp? The lake is already evaporating more rapidly than we anticipated. What happens if that cooling effect is no longer enough to keep the supervolcano from popping like a zit on prom night? 2012 was mentioned by geologists when they were discussing how long they think the lake will last. They expect it to be gone, or obsolete around that time.
Anyway its a great book. I am not a 2012 fanatic. But it was suggested to me by a friend, just to keep in informed. I find it interesting the Mayan's brought this date to our attention, its the winter solstice. The end of thier calender and the beginning of the new age. Perhaps they were ready for the next ice age.

yes but the bible code and the doomsday computers and several other things lead to that exact date. according to the bible code its a meteor

Just to add to your bit here, the Mayan calendar was also based almost chiefly on astronomical observations and calculations. In fact, they were far more advanced in their culture in terms of accurately predicting astronomical phenomena than ours and we have computers to do most of the work. There's also something about our planet, solar system or galaxy being aligned with the galactic center...
As far as the end of times coming in 2012, my theory is that that they made it to 2012 (or the umteenth cycle in their version) and then the two guys working on say "Hey, I feel like a whatever passes for our culture's version of a cold frosty one, then let's play some soccer." They both won the soccer match and were summarily executed as a sacrifice to the mayan gods. The mayan priest, after realizing his mistake simply says, "that was far enough in the future anyhow..."

Well its not just the whole apocalypse thing. I'm sure you've heard about the Dark Ages. They said that those were the years that a lot of people died and that God wasn't doing his job. and it started after the fall of rome. Do you think America might fall?

well... I have a firm belief that Ralph Nader will win the 2008 election (atleast somehow) and i dont mean to start a political debate but yeah i believe that. and perhaps in 2012 he wont make a second term, and that's when the world falls back in the hands of the corporations then there's a worldending. oops
