Hey,
This will differ from person to person. Because it's more of a question of morals and ethics. Let' say your going home one day and some one sees you and runs to you. They give you a tiny vial and tell you a story. The goverment had create a liquid virus that turns people into zombies. He runs of and gets hit by a car and dies. You focus on the vial. You have the power to infect anyone and cause the zombie apocolpyse or jut a small outbreak.

So you go to city hall, where everythings controlled(lets just say). Now you have two options you can release the virus assuming you'll be fine afterwards and be able to escape, or you can destroy it with the goverment help, but that would mean there would never ever be even the slightest chance that there would be a zombie apocolypse.

Before answering consider some of these few things. Let's look at how alread war-torn our world is. This could stop war on humans and focus it on zombies. Or die fighting each other. What about sex and prenaucey? If a newborn starts screaming, wouldn't that attracted a ghoul to you? What about the enviroment and technology, wouldn't the enviroment get a chance to heal fro mthe damage humans have done to it? Consider, the pros and cons.

I think I would release the virus onto earth. This may be evil but we the lose will come a stronger future then death by global warming or some other fucked up thing like nukes. Just giving humanity a fighting chance.

what about you?

i would personally be more worried about the govt. taking it back, killing me so i couldnt tell anyone about what happened, and them using it to they're own needs and wants. also, if they made one you can guess theres a warehouse full somewhere else or at very least a small lab full.

personally i would go the route of keeping it hidden and safe, you cant be sure how to destroy it on your own, extream heat may not do it, you dont know how long it has to be inactive to breakdown if ever. all i can think to do is keep it in an air and water tight case and keep it from ever opening.
i agree with the seal and secure but the sinking has me uneasy. i was thinking, just drop it in the ocean when i'm done securing it but two things came to mind.
1) what if i didn't seal it good enough? maybe the water pressure could compromise the seal somehow and leak it into the water. you could kill thousands of fish and taint tons of food for people, who would eat some of those fish and that's it. oh god, could you imagine if it got into one of those commercial fishing boats hat have the processing factory on the boat.
2) just cuz i sunk it doesn't mean someone someday wouldn't find it. maybe not in my lifetime but someday. some viruses can stay dormant for decades.

when i think about it i would rather have it on my mind then thinking some random guy scuba diving could find it by luck, or worse (and alot more likely) it could get into the populations food supply.
i was thinking it, but Hornet said it...
I'd release it
keep that vial locked away and recruit trusted people to keep it hidden and safe for all eternity .. although if i was made to choose a possible end to the world as we know it, a zombie apocalypse would be preferable to most . :)~
me i would realease it mainly i hate most people and in the end i really want to kill mother fucking zombies that would be awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd put it in a small platsic container full of super glue, once that hardens take that out of the tube, wrap in in bubble wrap, and hide bury in deep in the ground.
I'd have to second Soaring Red Phoenix. I'd try and lock it away too, but Neos got a point if the government made it I seriously doubt its the last sample.
I would love to be in a Zombacolypse, but I don't want to kill all those people... So I'll give it to my little bro's best friend, who said he would start one if he could :)
give it to a big ass company that will preform experiments with it, will call itself umbrella afterwards and hopefully has created a few anti-viruses before the inevitable outbreak will happen. at least it won't be directly my fault when the shit goes down ;)
Perosnally I would keep it, then take it to work with me and analyze it. (one of the perks of working in a research lab) I would just want to see what makes it "tick" how something could reanimate something.
