Zombies are most deffinetly not fast, they are slow as hell, their muscles sieze up, not to mention the rotting

Depends what kind of zombies we are talking about here. The zombies from Quarantine are cool (yes they are zombies one takes 4 shots from a 9mm) and they are fast, and 28 weeks and days later zombies were sweet. but i agree zombies would generally be slow, i think it would make more since if fresh zombies could run and sprint.
saw quarantine advertised on another site . is it worth a watch ? :)~
I liked it =), but I'd see the orriginal first, its in Spanish or something so get subtitles, its called "REC" (no quotations)
I dont think Quarantine "zombies" are zombies, I'm pretty sure they were vampires, like the ones off 30 days of Night. As for 28/weeks Latrer zombies, they werent zombies, if u would have shot them in the heart, they would die too. They also starve to death, zombies dont starve.
agreed it`s a great film .. :)~
Well, I think that the Zeds in 28 days/weeks were zombies, but not the undead type. It was sort of a "Scientific" zombie as opposed to the general "Living dead" version. A hybrid of this (in my opinion) was in the Dawn remake with Ving Rhames.

I have not seen Quarantine yet, but I intend to this week...I may have more to say about that then...
Well, the Romero-esque zombies a.k.a. undead are certainly slow. That's because they're nothing but a rotting body that's been through rigormortis. New DoD zombies are undead, but fast for some reason, which I find very unrealistic so I usually deny them as actual zombie species. 28 Days Later Infected technically aren't zombies, but they have the qualities of zombies, except they aren't undead and the run really fast. There are other types I could get into, but I'll spare you the rest of the details.
Details are speculatory, data is sketchy, and the general consensus is deriven from arguable resources. So one consistent fact is that we are unsure of the nature of the enemy, given a general prognosis of dead, near-dead, and diseased individuals exhibiting violent, cannibalistic behavior, almost always within an impaired level of function, motor and cognitive skills regarded. The specific pathology for this condition and the pathogen responsible are relatively a mystery, though modern science would indicate a viral infection that took course through the central nervous system and most likely nested and coordinated through the undamaged or modified tissues of the brain. The issues of continued metabolic function and necrosis are highly influential to the whole debate and, thus, are more than can be given consideration here. I do make one conjecture, though; the frenzied and potentially extreme behavior exhibited at the earliest stages of full blown infection may be due to a hormonal surge brought on during the change, and possibly even at other phases of viral replication.
................So what Im saying is the guy gets infected, and in the process of dying goes through a change that may make him scream, go mad, and start to run once he's to the violent stage. The surge of hormones may even be enough for a super-human jump or two, maybe knock down a barrier or throw a man overhead. Maybe there's a metabolic reaction to eating flesh, and so they could perk up a little after eating someone. But if necrosis is a factor as well, the wear and tear on the now unrepairable tissues would result in slow, uncoordinated, "Romero" zombie in a relatively short amount of time. Thus, a whole city full of shambling corpses, and still a horribly dangerous situation when someone close by becomes infected.

holy crap dude, u kno alot about stuff on things, lol
In my opinion, the dawn of the dead 04 zombies are possible, the virus does not allow rigormortis to occur within the host, the host may not even die, just temporarily shut down most brain activity, and lower heart rate to a bare survival minimum. Then once in control of the host, the virus shifts all cellular maintenance to the muscle and inner workings of the human body, since this occurs. The Epidermis of the skin, and the outer muscle of major muscles begins to die, thus the rot. When food (fresh blood and human flesh.) The virus may gain nutrients which allows the body to maintain said muscles. The Host no longer needs it's organs as long as the virus can retrieve fresh nurishment. Thus the lack of usage of vital organs. If unable to gain nutrients the host breaks down and begins to slow, thus shambling and weakening in strength overall.
My hypothesis as to why a DOTD 04 zombie can come to be.
ya but it only takes a few minutes of no oxygen for the brain to start, well, loosing most of it's ability so the zombies would loose most of their ability to anything; such as, think, move most muscles, feel, etc
The important thing would be Fast zombies would be no fun.
