Escape Plans
When the infection rises, how do you plan to escape your town? By air? By car? By foot or bicycle?
How many people would you bring with you, and how would you arm and feed your party?
Would you keep your party from shooting at every zombie glimpsed, or would you go wild west on 'em?
Here's a primer, which, incidentally, is my escape plan. I would round up around ten people, give each person 3 liters of water, a hatchet or knife, and something to sleep in. Those with firearms experience would get the 10/22's (I have three), the AR15, and the AK47 knockoff. The pistols would go to these same people. Small children would be given food to carry. People not carrying weapons will carry extra water and food. Every person, excepting small children, will be given a crow bar. We will move only during the day, and keep a watch at night. our goal will be to reach a somewhat out of the way area near a lake.
There's the primer, try to come up with something similar but fitted to your unique situation.

unfortunatly, it is a case by case scenario. Before escaping, read the zombie survival guide, as it explains in futher detail than i can. Escaping generaly is best done on bike and or foot. A car is loud and the noise will attract zombies. If there is only a few zombies, like a class one or two outbreak, a car could be usefull but also think about the traffic there may be. Sometimes it is just best to fortify and keep a low profile.
