Despite the fact that zombie films are mostly fictional I think they can still serve to educate people on zombie behavior as well as teach strategies for killing and evading zombies.
Having said that, what are your favorite zombie films?
I'd go all 5 Romero Deads (Day wasn't terrible; its a good "i don't like thinking right now" movie), Evil Dead series (hail to the King, baby), Planet Terror, Undead(its cheez-o-rific) and 28 Days Later. Weeks was weaker than Days, while most of the remakes were pretty good, with the exception of certain parts of Day. I need to get me Fido and Dead Alive. Oh, and Shawn of the Dead...was the shit. To say otherwise is to lie to yourself.
PS Why has no-one bothered to comment on Resident Evil? They're not bad. Hell, they're good for a good night's worth of watching.
Well i'll give you that when it comes to the first resident evil. It was good, the second one was ok but still on its way down in my book. But the third one sucked balls,it sucked balls hard. And they are making another one. Im scared to see what they do next to ruin the series.
As for all of romeros films yes, but the only reason i even kind of liked LAND of the dead. It filled the void of not having any other Z movies to go see. Land was so long after Day was realesed. It almost didnt fit in. It was way to Mad MAX for me. Not really the same style at all. The only things that felt the same where the music & Howard berger & greg nicatero did they SFX make-up..
But Diary was pretty cool i thought it fit in with his older style..
The first Resident Evil I enjoyed for the most part. I hate how they strayed so far from what the game was about. Yes, I know that an adaptation the artist is allowed to have their own vision of the story because that's the beauty of adapting. Personally I would be bored with a scene for scene exact duplication from the game and or book. They just went too far with the RE movies and the 2nd and beyond were horrible.
Yeah, they should have went with the game's storyline. The 1st movie was pretty good. The 2nd was kind of good eccept for the ending. The 3rd one was one of the worst movies i have ever seen.
I love dawn dont get me wrong, it was the first Z-movies i ever seen. But just watched the re-mastered version of Day & i fell back i love with it. Even George says that DAY was his favorite, and i would have to agree. Its alot darker.
But if you can get your hands on the origanal scritpt of Day. OHHHHhh its would of been so much better if they could of had the money. To do the movie the way they wanted to do it. But its still a masterpiece
Some of these have likely been mentioned already... >_< (that's what I get for being fashionably late to the party)
I Love Fido!!!
Night of the Living Dead (original more than the remake, but I like them both for different reasons)
Shaun of the Dead
Dead & Breakfast
Day of the Dead (original, haven't seen the 'remake').
Land of the Dead
Return of the Night of the Living Dead (a guilty pleasure... 'Send back up' LOL)
Resident Evil: Extinction
I would say things like, Evil Dead & Evil Dead 2, but they're not quite zombie movies. Same goes for the 28 days later series, it's more of a viral movie.
The day of the dead re-make is gayer than Resident evil extinction. I wouldnt recomend seeing it.
How can u like the 3rd Resident evil. The first 1 i would agree, the second one got worse. But the third one. Wow- There wasnt really any zombies & when they got to vegas . I expected such a badass scene. And it was weak, they were only there for like 10 mins. Its like they picked up scraps on film and said put this one here and trhat one there. And we will call it a movie..
And they are making another one. Ill wait until its a dollar at hollywood video...
Sorry not putting u down that movie just pissed me off LOL----- to each his own
