1: grab my family and gear (its already packed)and head for where i work.have my wife make the calls while i run zeds over.i work for a printing company so i have a large building full of stuff to block all the entrances with.and all the doors open to the outside only.its got a full kitchen, forklift, loading dock,a 150 gallon water purifier, generator, air compressors, two 2 ton box trucks, work van,a garage with under gound fuel tanks and a fall back room with roof access and a fold up ladder . there is more but i'm tired of listing it.theres a rock quary behind the building and a grocery store at the end of the road.
2:fortify the place then raid the Bilo
3:then take my team 2 miles down to ace hardware and get agricultural supplys create roof garden
4:use cars from surrounding car lots and dynamite from the quary to expand the premeter
5:build a rain water catcher
there is more but that will work for now
This is a general packing list for survival. This is my personal list. It does not include food or weapons. MRE’s or survival food bars are a good idea for food past that with a little research and practice food can be obtained almost anywhere. Your climate and situation will dictate your necessities. Be familiar with your gear, you should not have anything you do not know how to use. Practice packing and unpacking. I can personally say that this gear can be carried extreme distances even with the added weight of food water and weapons. Proper conditioning is a must, both for you and your gear. DO NOT bring new shoes, you will regret it and it may even cause injury.

Seems like alot at first but it would be well with in weight requirements and it wouldn't seem that it would be to hard to pack it, if you know what your doing.
My plan is simple, but effective. I have already packed supplies for a quick escape in a small backpack (for fun, but I did think it through).
A walmart super center is uphill from my house and I would head there after picking up my friend who as I, have packed for the occasion. We would take, or buy depending on the situation, athletic underarmor, bats and 2 mountain bikes.
From there we would head to her house and fill our supplies with it on the second story floor. Before water goes out we would fill the tub and sink with water and depending on how bad the crisis is, head out for more. If it got too bad, we would destory the stairs leading to the second floor.

P.S. If it happens, pick us up :]
wait. no using bats.

wooden ones will hold for a short time, and then crack and break. aluminum ones bend and dent.

what you want is a lightwieght titanium crowbar. automotive section, and very good.

and people, dont worry about spending too much money at the end of society. it wont matter, and then all our precious money will only be a fire starter.
My plan is to

Step 1:Go and make a premtive strike maby block a few roads block a bridge or two generaly make it hard for anything to get in

Step 2:Go to the militery base maby i could get a few better armaments there and if im luck maby a few APCs or a tank even

Step 3:Id set up a base in side of the old meatle and ammunitions works cause its big it on a hill and its got a chain link fence around it and also all that equipmet we could use to make some useful stuff like ammunition and such

Step 4:Hunker down and get ready for a hord
i fear that you have disillusioned yourself. Any armamets at all will most likely be in use and stealing some wouldn't be taken lightly. i don't think any stores near me sell crowbars. I say bats because it's what i have at my current disposal. my guitar won't exactly work as a weapon.
bats are ok wepons but the metal ones tend to bend and dent over time of prolonged use. and the wood ones can break evan easyer and one blow to the head dosnent usily result in a kill
I don't think I'd hole up until I got far enough north that it could freeze the zeds. Depending on what stage of the oubreak we were in when I actually realized what was going on...I might hang out in my house for a few days and barricade myself in until the general craziness dies down. The highways would be a mess after it gets announced on the news and people would start looting, raping and pillaging like they tend to do so it would be foolish to go anywhere at first. I figure once all those idiots get bitten and abandon the roads then I could start my move north. I'd start out in my car until I found a way to comandeer a van that way I could live in it if I had to once I got to where I was heading. I would base my movements on the ability to find fuel and supplies most likely.

I won't go into what I'd take with me, I think that's been beat to death but I will say that it won't be an imaginary arsenal that I'm never likely to own.
I would barricade or destroy the first floor entries to my building. That leaves 8, 2 - bedroom condos wiv occupants to defend with no entrance to the building other than second floor ladder. Do not leave for "survival in the woods" immediately. Water and provisions are important!

It would take days for the water and power to be shut down, and in the meantime, my neighborhood would be fenced off by parties of survivors taking wire fence from the turnpike - 100 feet away. I would guess that our community would yield 100 survivors - 70 of which would be active warrior/scavengers. If all of the buildings in our neighborhood acted together, it would become a stronghold. I keep asking about the possibility of this at community meetings, and have only been arrested twice!

In our small planned community, we have a shopping center. That includes: Deli, Pizza Shop, Bar, Drugstore with RX, Supermarket, Musical Instrument store, Dentist, AND Subway! These can all be scavenged by our "Hood". The other people who live in the area are Democrats, and therefore don't carry guns.

Every building would elect a "Head", and there would be a council of "Heads" to decide every move that the citizens would make. From guard duty, to sniping the Z, it would all be decided by majority of those that live closest to me!

I'd be in the woods with my sks, japanese hatchet, zippo, and survival gear - preying off the "norms"
get my gear, head up north to my cottage(3 room shack) and wait there, if zed infestation gets bad, my next door neighbor is a nice dude with a 40 ft boat, with a dinghy thats large enough for 8 people, sit out just past the dropoff, with a scoped rifle(that i stole) and wait there, sit in the pool, have a few drinks, and go out to shore in the dinghy to get some food. com back and repeat pool process, also, stopping to eat sometime. i would only take my kukri machete/ side arm when i drive, so thats the only time i'm vulnerable.
i dont have aloy of gear but i do have a compound bow with a drawback waight of 22 pounds i have the zombie survivel guied and i know were to get a mechete. me and my frend gabe both beeleve in zombies and we are the only ones that do at our school. but our plan is gabe is going to barricade his house with is familyand put a big sign on the living were they are and for survivers to go there and after two weeks he is going to dicks sporting goods. i am going to get all my suplies and go to his house as soon as i hear about the outbreak. the ups and downs about dicks sporting good- the bigest down side of dicks is that the big glass doors. they are see throuhg and big o it is a littel harder to fortify but there is alot of of bikes and other stuff to fortify them with. the up sides are that there are guns and ammo. there is also bow and arrows and i belleve there are machetes. and me and my frend gabe and our familys will remain there for as long as posible and we will search for suvivers.
