i agree edged weapons should be a last resort .trash that large katana.carry a knife or bayonet.in lieu of the large heavy katana why not a pistol.look for a .45 pretty common ammo.as far as a main weapon ive ben using an ak-47 chambered for the 5.56 nato round.it works for me because i can pick up ammo from police, armories sporting good stores or from dead national guardsmen.(check the rucksack)
,i know you have all seen abandoned police cruisers, these can be a bit of a treasure trove .well in my city local P.D. sometimes carry m-16s in the trunk or locked up next to the shot gun in the cab .there is also a hidden release button. somtimes its under the dash. sometimes in other places. just look around the
interior.
(abandoned cruiser) you at times have a choice of 2 weapons the m16 or the riot gun .along with ammo for both.and you can also find emergency water and first aid kit
just so any one knows if your in the san fernando valley .the police cruisers and national guard trucks ive pretty much cleaned them out. but in most cases ive left the m16 . and a full mag in the trunk . as im not a fan of the m16 .this weapon shits where it eats. and will foul up and jam on you half the time.
go for an ak-47 in 5.56 with a 4 power posp scope . this weapon will not let you down! and it doubles as a club.
GOOD HUNTING
"DOC"
STAY ALERT STAY ALIVE!
on a side note if you are lucky you may find a scoped(7.62 nato) bolt gun in the trunk of some cruisers. this makes for some entertainment .popping "them" off at range can be fun but dont waste ammo.if you dont gotta use it dont.
also if any one is in my neck of the woods .i can send you a map of weapon caches(cruisers.trucks containing supplys) drop me a line.
9mm MP5 sub-machine gun
(9mm rounds are really plentiful. especialy in urban settings. plus you can use them for a side-arm. quick firing, light, weak recoil, accurate, and totaly badass.)
desert eagle. if youre good with it, one round through the head is an instant kill. if you dont have one, then most pistols could work. shotguns wouldnt be very good, because, as said, it is close range, and blood splatters everywhere, and their blood is infectious. sniper rifles would be ideal, too, but not everyone has one of those.
Actually pistols and shotguns have a similar range. However you can increase of a shotgun by using slugs. Granted there are pistols that can go longer range as well but they are not combat weapons except in emergency situations.
Tactical nuke lol...if seriously for me it would be AA-12 shotgun as my primary weapon, .44 colt anaconda or glock 17 as my sidearm, a sturdy carbon steel blade(machete or panga or golok or etc, etc, etc...) for close quarters, combat knife "just in case" and last but not least - my good old crowbar. All these can be carried at once(wouldnt be too comfortable but oh well...).
Yes i was kidding about the nukes, but since you put it this way, then why not really. I agree they will be there for taking, provided of course govs wont use them to eradicate the infection hives first.
i personally like the m4 glock 17 and the mossberg or a remington. with an m4 i can hit a target moving at 300 yards so im good with that and a glock 17 i can get 8 bullets n 1 hole from 25 yards in 3 seconds
Don't forget a good board game, too. You know, to pass the time while you wait for the next wave of unluckies to shamble your way. BOREDOM is the true killer of man!! =)
