my thought was a 3-pronged pitchfork. What you do is sharpen the center to a spike, then as you jam it at the Zombies head, the two outside prongs funnel his head & brain to the Spike O' Doom

id say a lot of pistols so you dont run out of ammo that fast and dont have to reload and a katana if its not that hard to use and if you can get to a locked of place high above ground were zombies cant get in a sniper rifle maybe a chain saw for fun :D and stay on the move dont try to kill zombies if you have to kill one couse its ganna bite you and for a lot more info about wepons for fighting zombies buy the zombie survival guide complete protection from the living dead

I got these sick black Riddick blades from a comic convention, they're wicked sharp and can slice through anything. You can also use the un-sharp curves at the top to whack zombie heads.

any sort of blade always looks amazing. But guns are most practical.

shovel yes, Guns as practical as they can be, in a zombie world ammo is going to be scarce, and clothes line is ok but better off with piano wire

True, I think anything with some sort of ammunition is only going to last so long. I have to admit that Milla Jovovich did a pretty darn good job with the kukri knives, though knives may also be hard to keep sharpened.
Gardening tools then are looking pretty good.

Agreed. Looking badass is one thing, being badass is completely different, the old guy killing a crowd with a cinder block on a chain is far more badass than some young vin diesel lookalike with imitation exotic blades.

Anything thats got long range, quiet and easy to keep loaded. Sniper rifle ammo is too difficult to come buy most of the time. Old war rifles are good, they take many kinds of ammo.. most of the time they just work and keep on working, although not as quiet there bang is hard for your average zombie to locate effectivley.. follow the rule, fire once and move on..
Crossbows take too long to load and are in my opinon difficult to equip, a short bow with metal tips and a strong arm will pierce skull at a resonalbe range so crossbows are not always needed. If you're in close combat with a zombie u've made a mistake already as close contact leads to infection. As u all kno ur goal is to destroy the brain so minimum spray and effort is ur best bet, a katana may remove the head from the torso but u've still got a nail biting head which can be easy to under estimate. Crowbars are easy to come by, will detroy the brain effectivley and uses other there intended, such as a hook for climbing. Titanium ones last longer than steel.
