During Desert Storm, didn't the US use some sort of coin size anti-personnel mines, that were deployed by the use of a bomb or missile that would scatter them above the Saddam's military.

Something similar to this would seem to be very affective against zombies.
crowbars and Baseball bats the wooden kind though. guns are good but do cause problems like reloading. And don't think well that is what ammo is for well stop because you will run out. who will make bullets when the zombies come. hmpp
trust me people can reload bullets. and how long can you swing a bat at full force, u'll get tired eventually.
A gun is easier, one head shot, problem solved. now on to the next stumbling problem. lol
make your own. not that hard, once you try.
the Sling
one of the oldest weapons, anyone can make one, silent, ammo is limitless, close range club, easy to learn hard to master, limited use in confined spaces, fatiguing, head shot doesn't necessarily mean a kill.

compound bow
ammo is easy to make, silent, low fatigue, no clips, bulky, no immediate range capability, aiming is harder

forestry axe
weighs under 4 pounds, slightly lower kill capacity than a sword. safer then a sword, you can swing an axe anywhere you can swing a sword, easier to find a sturdy axe then a sturdy sword, can take out common doors, wood/sheet rock walls, and the all important wooden stair case. I'd like to see a katana do that.

stun guns
people will say electricity is not good because it won't kill the brain. but a high voltage taser 300k+ volts will still cause muscle locking, and interupt signals from the brain, this allows you to stun and drop zombies quickly to escape, or use for crowd control in fighting multiple zombies, and highly affective non lethal weapon on humans.

guns are over rated, they are very loud attract anything in a 1 mile distance in most cases, if not more.
i think it is over estimated how much ammo there is now and will be in the long run. the "power" of limited guns can cause group problems. would i turn down a gun, no, but it wouldn't be my main weapon.
clips are a hassle to load.

I like either one of these.
Love the under-belly shot gun. Do you have to register that as "Any other weapon" with the BATFE?
Hmmm. Good question. I would assume you'd need a tax stamp to buy one of them.
i would use a Katana
I assume you practice with a Katana regularly?
LMFAO this is why I always tell people who say that a katana or a crow bar is the best defense against zombies....how well can you fight in a hand to hand scenario? And then I ask, how many STREET fights have you ever been in? If any?

I mean, I'm no ninja here, and I won't pretend to be totally versed on technique, but I have some training and fgood reflexes.

I just think its funny the way people oversimplify things and think that just the bare minimum is going to get them through tough times, and that they will somehow magically turn into Beatrix Kiddo when they pick up a stick or a twig or a katana.
Maybe the question should be"What do you wish you knew how to use if going up against the Undead?"
