Depends on how high you are up. If you have a balcony, then you can jump to the balcony below, but if you don't have a balcony, then the choice is jump and try to land safely, or stay and fight. Now if you have flesh eating zombies at the door, I am pretty damn sure you will have them on the street waiting for you. I say, do the jump throw out a matress and see if it will cusion your fall and then make for safer grounds, where ever that may be.

WOw this is actually a good idea! yeah i dont have a balcony and i live on the 4th floor! so i'd probably try this whole matress stunt LOL

DON'T DO THIS!!! the impact (since their only springs) won't kill you but it may break some of your bones. probably the limbs... plus if manage to break a leg your shrieks of pain will attract the undead, and you know what happens after that. Devoured!!! but if you have a Temper-pedic type mattress then it may work but if your jumping out of a 4 story apartment the chances of you landing on it are dangerously low. so use as a last result

gross pic lol but no i'd try to save my friends the best i could, if they were with me. maybe i'd tackle the group of zombies out the door to buy enough time for my buddies to escape

Ok here is what you do find the best weapon you can in the house something blunt and heavy is best. Lash together the bed bed linens to form a rope and perhaps your clothes as well. The more ropes you have the better. Each rope should be about 15-20 feet in length depending on the distance between you and the next balcony. Climb down to the next balcony, smash the window leading into the apartment and loot it for better weapons and tools repeat on the next floor before getting to street level. If either apartment is infested climb back up as quick as you can and do the mattress trick described above. If the apartments have survivors in them deal with them as you see fit. if i didnt have anything left in my apartment i would deffinatily jump......save some people the trouble of killing me, but if i did have supplies, i would deffinatly agree with Baulchtopher

You break a hole high in the wall and move to the next apartment. Any zombies in the next place will come to the hole and you bash their brains out untill there aren't any more. Depending on where you are, you can bash your way into places above or below you or into the elevator shaft or the trash bin. Property rights are pretty much dead at this point.
