It's not illegal to own automatics either. But if you have them they get confiscated.

When America becomes a police state all the stuff that can fight back against authority is going to get taken or hidden...and hiding an APC is gonna be pretty hard.
Only if you were planning on staying in/near a city. That much diesel is hard to find.
i would say a humvee or a bradley but even vehicals have disavantages
An old military 5 ton or 2 1/2 ton they are rugged as hell can run on anything from veggie oil to whiskey and are very easy to work on. Plus there is a national guard depot close very close with them there if I had time I would hook up a water buffalo and throw spare parts and MRE's in the back. I would skip the arms room if it even had one since it would be locked up pretty tight. Of course I would have to beat them to it but I'm willing to bet I live closer to it than them.
water buffalo...?
A water Buffalo is a trailer that can be attached to the back of most military Vehicles. It can hold around 2-3 hundered gallons of water
Ah. A tanker.

Thanks for the clarification.
smaller than that but yea
I grab a hummer and head towards Eggland A.F.B which is only like a few hours away from me.
There are thes assault vehicles that the Russians are using to invade Georgia(the country). I'm thinking I'd ultimately love to get my hands on one of those mothers. Those things can go over an IED and suffer very little damage. Combine good offroad clearance, and you have a gift basket of doom. Throw a decent calibur machine gun in the turret, and you're ready to join the party.
I'd also go with a good old C1-30 gunship, take the battle to the sky and open fire with 50 cal machine guns. Vengance from the sky, bitches!
where are you going to get the trained crew to run a c-130
to be realistic. i drive an armada suv. the son of bitch gets 18 miles to the gallon, and has a huge gas tank, and can pull 2,000 pounds, has a hemi so it goes fast if i need to get away and is sturdy. 4x4 drive and has an auto wheel drive feature like the land rover. it seats 8 people confortly, and has plenty of storage space, odds being im not putting that many in my car. and i can hook a trailer up to it and haul shit. Its a great vehicle. Hummer H2 cant haul shit but are very spacuis but get crappy mpg. H1's are great if your in the boonies off roading and can haul lots of stuff. find one that rauns off vegetable oil then when the out break accures just hit up a fast food place. im gonna stick with my aramda for the time being. i dont have the time to learn how to drive an apc, or bradly, or a tank
