I have always hated this, a zombie or zombies would come through a door unseen by the victim and attack them, killing and eating them if i make a zombie video/movie, i am not going to do this to any of characters...

Remember everyone is going to be stinking. During a major outbreak you won't have time for showering and such. Also the scent of corpses will be in the air. So you might not always smell them before they appear.
yea' but corpses smell will disapate, and if you want a safe hunting area you weill destroy cproses you find outside of homes, and businesses...
I am thinking more of an initial outbreak/scouting for supplies scenario. Since that is where most of the movies are centered.
that's true, i get you there, chances ar ethere was no time for cleanup, i getcha
You would have the smell of decay, and also feces and urine because the body voids these things when the muscles relax. I like your line of thinking. Good point.
yea i know, but it seems like a majority of the time the characters are froze by fear, or just get carried away, when they're attacked, it happens far too often imo, thanks for the reply, take it easy, and safe hunting...
This type of scare is actually is in most horror films because it is affective. The person is usually trying to come to grips and is frozen by disbelief. What this type of shot builds suspense by the anticipation of the attack. Even though we know what will most likely happen, We tend to be shocked when it it happens. The time leading up to the attack should be just long enough to torment the viewer and builds a sense of dread.
yea i suppose, but i am finding it to be a overused, cliche in zombie movies, i just thought i would vent on it
Yeah, I hate those scenes too. There is no way, unless you had headphones on and the music blasting, or you were deaf, that a zombie would be able to sneak up on you.
what a wonder is how do they open door if they have no arms or no brain
Who says they're opening doors?
ehh walk into a door enough times and it should give.

I always thought it would be cool to see a bunch of zombies stuck in a revolving door haha.
