Melee weapon discussion
A lot of people have different points of view when it comes to using melee weapons. If you find yourself in close quarters combat with the living dead, what would you use to prevent yourself from being chewed on?
I personally prefer machetes.

I always liked the melee weapon known as "running away.
But if I didn't have that option, either a baseball bat or a nice knife. depending on how close the zed is. Or a rifle butt...

Machete is an excellent choice. Just make sure the blade is on the dull side so it doesn't get stuck in bone.
Baseball bat is my first choice. Wood, not aluminum. Carrying a few pieces of rebar doesn't hurt either.

Wood doesn't get dented or become weaker every time u use it. Which is usually what happens to aluminum baseball bays over time. Now a wooden bat may splinter and of course break over time as well, but it's more lightweight than a dented up aluminum bat. If you can find the right bat. I'm guessing that's some reason why anyone would choose wood over aluminum.

rock hammers are fine but take into consideration weight and mobility yes the weapon is effectice to smashing heads but will tire you out in no time plus the weight prevents you from swinging fast enough to fend off multibles at a time trust me i like blunt force as much as the next person however dont want to tire out quickly

Kukri good for lopping a head off, For any more then 2-3 zombies a golf club delivers more force to a smaller area great for smashing a skulls and long enough to keep them at bay until i get to something better.

I'm all about machetes. They're sturdy, heavy enough to really do some damage to the gushy stuff, and they look cool like Fonzi. Also, i've contemplated using pistols like melee weapons, namely punching the zombie in the head with the barrels and simultaneously pulling the trigger. guarantees a head shot, and you can kill as fast as you can punch! You gotta get close, which is why i would obviously recommend gloves and other appropriate armor
