What is the best mode of transportation.
Ok we all have to get around after the outbreak. What is the best mode of transportation. For me, I pick a riding lawn mower. Going to die anyway, might as well cut some grass. lol

You need to think about fuel consumption vs. fuel availability.
Also consider purpose. Are you looking to drive through hordes of undead or just move from place to place?
Smaller fuel efficent cars would be a better option. A nice small Mercedes or BMW (as they are naturally quiet), would be my selection.

yeah so, its not like the zeds can just fly on up to you, you have to extend the ladder first, and this thing is amazing at off road, and it has huge fuel tanks, enough for a days non stop work.

Horses are good, but you would have to know it would be reliably trained and there is the threat of it freaking out because of zombies, though that could also be an early warning sign. After that, I'd just go with good old legs and stay out of cities.

the best mode of transport? dude, ride a train, like hijack a train, a easy one to operate, like a BNSF standard freight hauler. they are reliable fast and can serve as your stronghold!

You, the best mode to travel across the country during or after an outbreak is by train, but where youre going to get fuel, not to mention do you know how to drive a train, better yet, those tracks do have connections that go in different directions and you might be switched to a track that has an empty cart on it. But a train is a good idea.
