Well I for one believe that you really can't prepare for something like this and I don't think anyone is completely prepared though I could be wrong I usually am heres what I got
1 22. LR with 1500 rounds
1 Kukri knife
1 backpack with supplies for 6 days travel for one person
House:semi-secure I suppose I really can't say I got big ass windows but they are all like 3 feet above the ground and are like quadruple pane or some shit alls I know is they're thick and then I got nice big heavy doors so I suppose it's relatively safe

I've been prepared for Z-Day or a Soviet invasion since the Cold War in the 70's and 80's.There was a big time survivalist movement in the 70's and 80's during the Cold War that included manuals being written like The Poor Man's James Bond, Anarchists Cookbook, How to Kill manuals etc which I own. Also I own every military hand to hand manual that Michael D Echanis ever wrote, also I own converting semi-automatic weapons to fully automatic weapons books, and most military FM's. I use to compete in Combat Handgunning and also was the NCOIC of rifle,handgun and machine gun ranges in the US Army. I'm an avid hunter with handguns,rifle and also a bowhunter,backpacker,rockclimber,fisherman and skier. I've lived in New Mexico and Colorado for most of my life and I love the mountains and feel comfortable in them.So training a bunch of pageant girls to be guerrilla fighters in a post- apocalyptic world like my Lost Zombies page isn't to far out of the realm.
Guerrilla warfare- is irregular warfare, conflicts in which a small group of combatants uses military tactics, like ambushes and raids, to harass a larger and less-mobile traditional army including the infected.
I trained in Tae Kwon Do and eventually became a kickboxer during my time in the Army during whiich I served as an 11B Light Weapons Infantryman.You can read about my stint as an OPFOR Spetsnaz training against our own United States Military in the 80's on my page . I worked as a bouncer and concert security after getting out of the active Army, at which time I joined the New Mexico Army National Guard getting a secondary MOS of 16S Stinger Missile. So close combat fighting is something I still practice on a daily basis in my home gym/dojo.
I have body armor that will stop 7.62 x 39 rounds, bulletproof vests and kevlar helmets. My large collection of melee weapons, and actual chain mail have been used as photography props and just to hang up on the wall. Soon you will be seeing Task Force Amazon girls dressed to kill in combat gear including various molle vests and thigh holsters all owed by me.

Melee weapons - mucho including one 7 foot red,white, and blue Native-American spear

We have a plan A and B and both don't have us sitting at home, we have safe several places to go outside the city

I beg to differ with the statement by Bastion by saying you can be totally prepared for this, i also will estimate that the majority of the population will die within the the first 30 days, including alot of the self proclaimed experts on Lost Zombies.

The only thing I do not have is a permenant water filtration system which I plan on having before 2011. I have evac plans if my house is no longer defendable. I have a 4x4, and in case I am solo and have to escape and evade I have two preset locationss to go to both are set up for survival with food, water supply, weapons and ammo. I would like to think the things that my father and I have done to my house will make it impregnable. I have a 360 firing lane from the second story and preset firing lanes on the first floor. My basement is below ground level preventing acess and all windows in my house can be sealed in minutes preventing acess. My doors are all fire proof and act like hatches sealing off room to room if control is lost. My father belived in a world wide crash and started building the house back in 79 to be honest I think many improvements can be made but I do not want to have no room to go if I have to. I inherited his paranoia or what ever people wish to call it, but if something bad does happen I feel ready and able to make it. Not that I will ignore the plight of others, but I will do what I need to.

I think the need for water filtration is over exaggerated. I grew up drinking water collected from the roof and stored in a galvanized water tank, there were mosquito larvae and anything washed off the roof in that tank,it had no filtration and we never got sick. I still drink water straight from running streams in the rain forest and again, I've never been sick from it. My current house has a water tank and only basic paper/charcoal filtration, I prefer to drink that than the chemical saturated rubbish that sits in rusty pipes before being pumped in on the mains water system.

True but what if the water is the cause the normal filtration systems used by the government will not be able to purify anything. But on the other hand nothing purifies guite like a old fasion boil. I have been drinking water from the rivers here in Pittsburgh all my life and it may taste like crap rolled in crap, but won't kill me yet.

But nothing is better than a melee weapon such as a crowbar or a trench spike because blades dont need reloading. Also i would have enuff supplies to last me a month and a water purification system or tablets in case of water shortages and some medical supplies that would be easy to use and understand

I've been ready for 3 years. Recently I've only become even more ready.
my house needs a few mods before its ready, but it'll be ready on Z-hour.
I have 88,000 rounds of ammo stockpiled, 7 guns, dozens of melee weapons/tools, about 21 day's food and 22 days water for 4 people, tons of stuff stockpiled. It was prepared for a military invasion, its about the same thing.
I'm actually hoping Z-day to happen tomorrow, then i won't need to pay this month's bill. Bills are coming tomorrow, and I just don't really wanna part with my money. I'm also bored out of my mind.

Out of anything that could happen I think we have a better chance at total economic collapse, wide spread rioting and looting. Imagine 1 billion Chinese saying "We are fed up!" Imagine everyone who gets an entitlement one day and nothing the next. People will riot and destroy city blocks just to celebrate their sports team's victory in "The Big Game". Imagine if they have what they perceive to be a good reason to riot and loot. There are zombies out there now, they just don't know it.

Weapons: Nil - besides the knives in the kitchen
Food: lots of non perishables
Water: filtration system
Safehouse: We've weathered gang riots, don't think the zombies could do worse than that!
Assets: As a medic, my wardrobe is a pretty much a walk-in pharmacy. Break a limb, get septicemia, run out of meds, come to me and I'll save your life. Just no zombie bites!

to be honest im not all that ready, i have all my wepons together and and i always have canned food and water bottels in my house with a book bag in there at all times but to be honest, when z day happens, who would actully be ready?
