Okay, I know, a single piece of tape is weaksauce, but could covering parts of your body in thick layers of duct tape(arms, legs, excluding knees, elbows, etc.) serve as makeshift 'armor'?

Yea over your clothes sure Its tough and looks cool as hell.
Sure it could. Just don't put it directly on your skin. :D
i would say maybe, since you would become very warm and perspirate alot, since the ducttape would insulate you also, but as long as you have mobility and are agile as you used to be before you put it on. You might have a chance. personally i would'nt use it.
duct tape would be very useful in any scenario, but for armor, i think that duct tape would serve to be wrapped around joints or weak points in your armor. it also can make a very nice holster and sheath for blades.
YEAH IT WOULD BE GRATE THINK ABOUT IT CAN YOU BITE THREW DUCK TAPE...NO...SO CHANCES ARE NETHER CAN ZOMBIES AND EVEN IF THEY BITE YOU THE SALIVA CANT GIT TO YOUR SKIN SO NO TRANSFORMASHION.....caps lock....dam...im not re typeing this
You don't have to be able to bite through something to cause severe damage.
the point is to avoid infection. I'd rather have a f*cked up arm than be a zombie!
I get that, how much duct tape would you need to guarantee protection from penetration? I have plenty of duct tape so I think I'll run a few trials and let everyone know.
i'd say about three layers... but that's just my oppinion
why waste time with duct tape? I figure that if I need some sort of armor, I would have to go with a leather jacket, leather pants (or chaps going over a thicker pair of pants), heavy leather gloves (noticing a trend here?), Boots, and one of those motorcycle helmets with a visor. they cover everything they need to protect, and still allow for mobility.
Oh, yeah, because we all have loads of leather clothes and a motorcycle helmet on standby. I'm saying duct tape could possibly be used if nothing else was available. Improvised armor, see?
i'd personally prefer a biohazard suit and full chainmail... no biting through that, and no contamination to boot.
